  1. did he not see comments from last video? or is this episode recorded back to back
@35:38 its automatic, panels default 5kw and after the tech unlock they're 6kw
@45:25 dust devil just makes structures dirty especially solar panels their output goes to 0 and need to clean with the air compressor but if it happens early game can only grind and rebuild
@49:47 cause your battery ran out over night and when you entered seems fine cause sun's back up
@53:34 you can also just add another battery to the existing to store more for the night

    Rocks respawn!

Look in the lower left portion of the screen for info about resource requirements for buildings and components when you aim your cursor at them.

The airlocks also require power and every upgrade on the tanks add a requirement of 5 more KW/h …then too, the console in the workshop only accounts for the incubators and the hydroponic shelves. Each new device you place in there has it's own energy requirement. If there are any other buildings attached to the Workshop they will all be drawing power and resources from it.

The Map is good to help find out what is powered and what is not and to see how it's all connected.

  3. Good one again. I am watching with great interest because I am struggling to understand the best layout for wells, pumps, batteries etc etc. I am alive in my game, but struggling.

  4. Your wells can have 2 of those O2 makers if you want to make more O2 also make the CO2 Scrubber it does the best to make O2. Also Make sure your water is on a battery system if you want water to plants all night as well.

  5. By the way usual the solar upgrade is passive they used to give 5kw now they give 6kW

And you're base doesn't need a double airlock on both sides, it said use sdouble airlocks to keep it warm enough but meant if you only have a single airlock then the heat and atmosphere escape as soon as you open the door, from what I could tell other side has the insulated silver panels so was actually considered sealed up

  6. Please, forget that overcomplicated structure around your wells, the thing you need ic CO2 scrubber, build it inside your building and it will both produce enough O2 for your building, and also let you fill both O2 and CO2 bottles…
After that you can scrap most of those pumps, O2 tanks etc… you will need more electricity though (few more panels AND bigger capacity battery). It will be highly interresting with the bad position of you Transformater and battery (little to no room for extensions) πŸ™ πŸ™
