  1. I noticed that in the white station wagon that you entered around 40 minutes into the video, there was a key in the ignition. Checking the ignition in each car can be rewarding, some have keys others do not.

  2. You should play Voices of the Void, it's a ps1 style game where you search for signals from deep space while managing hunger and sleep, with a perfect blend of creepy and comfy, as well as running on a simulacrum of the source engine. Also i can assure you that there is nothing in the woods at night.

  3. Hey Librarian, I would be very happy to see these free Steam games: "Hotel on the Grate", "lure", "Skelton Zone Traveler Emergence", "Lights Off", "Feast youre Eyes", "the static speaks my name".

They are all very interesting games!
Have played all of them and I like them very much. Would love to see videos/opinion from you on them ! 🙂

  4. That huge cabin in the forest in the west side of the map (north of mil surplus store) is my favorite base, especially during the winter. You should consider it once you get out of Raven Creek. There's lake to the north, lots of wood for building stuff, foraging areas all around etc. That is if Raven Creek is placed on the same map as vanilla game.

  6. Hi Librarian, going to throw out some tips for Zomboid:
Take the highest calorie foods that you can (lard, butter, etc) and stockpile them for the winter. Even when starting in July it is never too early to begin setting up a rationing pile, or a pile for a rainy day when you need to keep your preserved food and you've run out of perishable food. Starting a pile in the front of that convenience store is a smart move for easy transportation. Food like butter, margarine and lard may give unhappiness, but that can easily be reduced by reading a book, drinking soda, drinking a beer can, eating candy, et cetera.

Bags can be equipped in your off-hand and items can be put into them, would definitely suggest if you still have that satchel to start putting stuff into it on your looting runs. There might be a minor penalty to attack speed, movement speed and climbing, but simply dropping the bag and coming back for it later is always on the table.

When fighting zombies, do not stand still and push. Instead, move forward and push to knock them over easier. Just be smart with your positioning, because stepping too far forwards into a group is not the smartest idea.

There is a little widget in the car console when you climb into the driver's seat that, when pressed, unlocks the trunk if it is already not unlocked. Also, checking the trunks of most vehicles is always something that you should do, and checking the corpses around these vehicles may nab you a car key. (Oh yeah, that white station wagon that you climbed into, as pointed out by someone else in the video, had a key in it!)

That's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of tips and tricks for Zomboid, there's plenty more further down in the comments. Oh yeah, it might be wise to drop off that pipe wrench in your belt at your base and swap it out for something with higher damage, since leveling skills with single-handed weapons or double-handed weapons are multiplied from the amount of damage put out from the weapon. Can't wait to see more varied content like this in the future, have fun playing!

  7. I adore the concept of this game, but I’m unfortunately far too exhausted and depressed to really get in the mindset to enjoy it the most. so it’s really great that I can still experience it to some extent through this series 🙂

  8. it could be one of three things 1. Migration 2. a glitch 3. Hubris, I mean you may have thought you thinned out the herd but you only really killed a few very small pockets and "Today" was the day the horde actually got there and you were unprepared because you thought you actually did anything

  9. Please do more of these, I love how you play and how you comment and explain stuff. I also love the whole play through session rather than chopping it up like I’ve seen other youtubers do, it feels way more immersive and actually gets me interested in the game.
