"Louisville" in Zomboid is about the size of Texarkana TX or Beloit WI, so the population should scale. Cramming the actual 600k citizens of that county into the game's map would be…unhealthy for the player.
ETA: unless you also modded in bulldozers and miniguns. Actually, I just thought of a fun mod pack.

clearing the building reminds me of the song 99 bottles of beer on the wall. Except you take 1 down and then theres still 99 bottles because its Loisville
Imagine if being horrifically overburdened increased your stomp damage
Once you clear this you'll have to rename this building the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Towers.
PZ should add a endgame like theirs a randomly spawned bunker you can stock with food and launch a missle to kill everything on the surface.
Your planned base location is super sketchy, too many zombies are a recipe for a ninja coming up behind you for the kill.

i knew there is a baseball bat factory, and a potato factory. i never knew there is also a zombie factory, but i think you found it
Putting stuff on ground will let game disappear them. Grab the red keys they belong to houses or other places. Also you missed a survivor zombie in that last big battle in basement.
You need The Hulk to help with this army of zombies.

Every Z that you take down is one less in the building and in the garage you have the same to deal with a little horde.
Maybe the game is punishing you for prematurely 'claiming' the building with the bed icon. In all seriousness though, that was a ton of zombies. It was like a clown car routine except without the fun part and an extra dose of undead.
One of the mods I've grown to like is Improvised can opening, you can use other tools to open a can but has a chance to spill some of the contents.
