Professor Lupin was WRONG

But we still love him … always TELL Dumbledore the truth! #harrypotter #dumbledore #wizardingworld

Why didn’t professor Lupin tell Dumbledore that Sirius was an Animagus? Sirius literally broke into Gryffindor tower TWICE and could have easily killed Harry Potter & his friends. At the time, Lupin believed that his old friend was a MASS murderer! Lupin mentions to Harry that he was too ashamed and scared of breaking trust with Dumbledore! Admitting that Sirius, James, and Peter were unregistered animagi would mean that they were breaking the rules behind Dumbledore’s back! Lupin’s big secret is that he’s a Werewolf! The Wizarding Community doesn’t trust him because of that fact, so he wanted to do everything he could to stay in Dumbledore’s good graces! But in reality, the right thing to do is TELL Dumbledore! He’ll understand! The Marauder’s were just kids and they were trying to comfort their friend Remus Lupin! When Lupin finally saw Peter Pettigrew’s name on the Maurader’s Map he just SNAPPED and went right after him without thinking about telling Dumbledore, and without drinking his Wolf’s Bane potion before moonrise. Lupin should have told Dumbledore plain and simple! He put his own self-interest ahead of the safety & security of the Hogwarts Students! He’s still our favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher!

  1. Lupin felt guilty. It was his affliction that caused his friends to become animagus. He feel responsible for that decision. He specifically says I. The books he considered telling Dumbledore’s but couldn’t face disappointing him. Because Dumbledore gave him a chance to be a normal child/ student when most wound have just been biased against him. This isn’t a mystery that needs explaining.

  2. Maybe he wanted to prove to Harry that he still relies on Dumbledore while also showing that he really missed his own schooling days at Hogwarts and wanted to teach at the school. It was a bonus for Lupin that he was teaching James and Lily's son.🤔🤔🤔🤔 Plus, he probably believed what everyone was saying about Sirius until Harry said he saw Pettigrew's name on the Map. And then the whole truth came out. 🦁❤🦡💛🦅💙🐍💚 Awesome video btw.

  3. Honestly I’d be shocked if Dumbledore didn’t know about them being secret animagi. The thing about Peter being alive is more important but since only Sirius, James and Peter knew Peter was the secret keeper Remus and Dumbledore wouldn’t have understood the full significance of that.
