The art was still beautiful but as a colored pencil artist that does realism this is not how we blend colors we usually go in very light layers and pressing hard which is burnishing is not how you blend , blending is done by layering and overlaping colors many times and once the colours look right we press hard with a mid tone pencil to smooth out the colrs and get rid of the grain of the paper this technique you have used works but is not recommended .
