  1. My favortite boss design is where my warrior with two large two handed weapons cannot hit the boss because there is a circle around it 1 yard out of range. While the ret pala is yeeting hammers from outerspace losing no uptime

These mechanics should be in a way that if you are skilled enough with your positioning and movement hitting the boss should be possible

Its done wrong on a boss like sharknado guy from freehold, but is done correctly on brackenhide warscourges where if you position well you can hit them, but move incorrectly and you take damage. One tick will not kill you but two will on a high enough fort key

  2. Ahhh, the streamers who just get to play games saying everyone has skill issues? I mean are they all drinking from the meta drinking trough now? The game should not have so many difficulties that just keep scaling up due to blizzard catering to the current player base and it just keeps creeping upwards! The issues are the amount of buttons, rotation complexities, auras, and micro buffs that you have to play around i.e. spinning plates.

  3. ahh, i see nobody plays augment evoker for raid, i keep 3-4 different people buffed with prescience, my tank shield which i switch when tank swaps, my time on ebon might, track other peoples cooldowns to tell me when the best time is to use breath of eons, try to monitor dps who are out of position and need rescue, and help off heal if they need it. idc who you are, thats ALOT to do without addons

  4. I was using Luxthos class WA packages for a long time. With the new base UI, I was able to remove those class packages and I only need 1-2 WA for specific buffs per class now. Better load speed too! xD

  5. the only people angry about this are the people making weak auras and the people who cant function without weak auras aka the people calling you a baddy and kicking you out of the group.

  6. What's being talked about at 28:55 is the reason why pc is the master race. I'll never go back to a controller again. Losing position or view because I have to take my thumbs off the joystick for button "x" is for suckers. 😂

  7. Im aboard the ship of heaving nerfing auras, but if we need to pay more attention to what bosses are doing, some specs need to be skill pruned hard.. rogues for instance have way too many buttons and uptimes to be tracking in top of every raid mechanic

  8. So did they start changing Raid complexity because of Weak Aura's? sorry I 've been out of the game for 10 years, Weak Auras from the outside looks like cheating (This is from an uninformed position). Why this is important to an ignorant returning noob, is it worth getting back into raiding? This is probably another bad take:- But the game looks like a slot machine now, were other than a gear check and following some boss mechanics, which the addons manage for you, whats the point? Where is the reward? The challenge? Back in the day the teamwork was the challenge and the reward, and the journey seemed exciting, now it just appears to be a lights show and waiting for your addons to tell you what to do?

  9. The thing is you have to be able to see some of your abilities because they are based off of cd's. You cant just be looking somewhere else and expect to know 4 different low cd's another resource bar, and see what is going on within the raid or dungeon. You have to use your peripheral vision on something and your abilities arent the place for that and then having the boss fight have everything green doesnt help see what is going on even when you are looking directly at the fight.

Some of this is Blizzards fault but addons definitely play a part. They can absolutely limit the type of addons you have access to. I say get rid of them all and let people move the information on the UI around as they please.

If they really wanted to make it to where you didnt have to look at abilities or resource bars or whatever else, then they need to do a gameplay overhaul to make it more like Black Desert or something like GoW where a certain sequence will do certain things.

  10. I think animation locks can be good when it's actually an intended mechanic and not just the consequence of someone wanting to make a cool animation. An animation lock should be a risk/reward mechanic akin to a big finisher, something that requires you to know when the boss has a downtime allowing you to stay in place long enough to pull off your move, and not just "I need to jump to do my rotation but if I do I'm going to get hit by the boss so either I gimp myself by making less damage or by risking dying and making even less damage"
