Weeks before Lisa Marie Presley’s death, Priscilla Presley’s son almost died, leaving her distraught.

Navarone Garcia, Lisa Marie’s half-brother and Priscilla’s son, remembered the terrible occurrence that nearly took his life in front of his mother. He spoke in-depth about the almost catastrophic incident in an interview with People.

Garcia claims that it occurred months before his half-sister Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12 from a cardiac attack.

The 35-year-old musician claimed that while they were visiting an animal sanctuary outside of Los Angeles, he was being fed by a 2,000 lb. camel when it bit him and lifted him. There are rumors that the camel has been mistreated in the past.

Despite their best efforts, sanctuary staff were unable to remove it due of its weight. Then, a dog nearby the incident assisted him by biting its face.

Garcia recounted witnessing his mother, who was devastated by the incident and was 77 years old, flipping out.

He chose to drive back to his Los Angeles home and get treatment in a nearby hospital instead, even though the staff contacted 911. The musician continued, saying that because he was covered in blood, he appeared to be the worst patient in the emergency room.

Garcia shared his past drug troubles in this week’s special People edition, sharing a similar experience to Lisa Marie.

He claimed that when he was a teenager, his drug use problem began. He first used heroin at that period before transitioning to fentanyl. The latter chemical is notorious for being 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin.

He quit using opioids and heavy drugs in 2020 so he could travel to Switzerland to see his now-wife. At Priscilla’s house, he then began his detox process.

Garcia acknowledged that he continues to consume alcohol and smoke marijuana. He did, however, promise to help his mother, who lost his half-sister a month ago. He disclosed that he intended to take her on a vacation to Brazil.
