Prince William steals Prince Harry’s US crown & ‘double tragedy’ of the Sussexes | Palace Confidential

The calm versus the chaos – how William’s trip to New York contrasted with Harry’s – watch our royal talk show Palace Confidential

Prince William’s ‘calm’ visit to New York this week was in contrast to the ‘chaos’ of his brother’s May trip with its disputed claims of car chases. That’s the view of the Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden, who says that the success of the heir’s trip to promote his Earthshot prize will stick in the craw of his younger brother.

‘When Harry and Meghan moved to California, there was very much the expectation that they would be the royals overseas, it would be that rival court, to see his brother becoming more popular than him in his adopted home must be striking,’ he tells the programme.

  1. Please no more Diana. It has been nearly 30 years since her death. Why even bring her up? And all the same old pictures of her. She is no longer that young glamorous woman. The comparison between Charles’ trip to France then and now are pointless. Time has moved on. Let the bones of this woman rest in peace.

  3. As an American I believe King Charles and Prince William are much more respected that Harry and we are interested in the Royal Family. Meghan is transparent, manipulative and race baiting, we've got her number.

  4. Prince Harry w forever have royal blood. He chose the wrong woman to marry. It is what it is. But King Charles & Prince William should mend their ways, they are still family after all, just keep in distance. Maybe one day Harry will return without the Meghan baggage. No wife should divide blood family. And who cares about Camila. And Princess Diana will forever be the people’s Princess 🥰

  6. OK OK, I love Dianna just quit comparing everything to her. Let her rest in peace. She wouldn't like that everyone is still doing that. She was never the Queen. And she was far from perfect. It's bad enough that Harry drags her around like a crutch. And that thing of a wife tries to mimic her. Please let our beloved Princess Dianna rest in peace!!!!! 🙏

  7. By no means is Prince William awkward, he’s very personable, and kind, and now, he’s pretty damn sexy, we over here in the States think he’s pretty hot.. and “shyness”, makes him all the more mysterious and attractive, so this guy is not quite nailing it, as far as Prince William is concerned, he’s a babe.

  9. One of the Richards said Americans have a love/hate relationship with Great Britain. I don't think that is true. In my entire life (I am a senior citizen) I have never heard an American speak negatively nor have I read anything negative about Great Britain or the Royal Family other that what the Harry and Megan fanatics have said. I'm not saying all Americans are in love with the Royal Family and Great Britain, but I don't sense an overwhelming hatred. Camilla did look lovely in that royal blue cape dress. Good for her!

  10. To raise your children without deceased grandparents is difficult, but to make sure that your children will never meet their living grandparents, is for sure violating the rights of your children. Archie and Lilibet will ask questions one day, and if they are sensible, Harry and his wife will have a lot to explain!

  11. For God’s sake, your King is not an untouchable holiness! Get real, he is a man and people will relate to him in their own way if he is nice. If he is not nice, you’ll soon know from the international community, your royalty will be instantly ignored. They are not needed anywhere else.
