  1. VIkes lost because of their defense, not Kirk. If you give up 31 offensive points to the NY Giants, you kind of deserve what happens to you. Ed Donatell is going to be shown the door (or should be).

  2. Nick I agree Doug Peterson and Trevor did great and Staley dropped the ball. You cant just forgive Justin Herbert for that second half. The only QB that had a worst half than him this weekend was Lawrence. I would be worried about building a team around a player who chokes a win where all you need to do is score 1 touchdown in the second half to lock the game down. Just because Herbert is a public darling doesn't make him immune from criticism.

  3. Nick, always enjoy your thoughts and comments, as you have interesting, worthwhile insights–and a flair for the language that makes your spiel entertaining to hear. Sports though, as much as I enjoy playing them and watching the best (the pros) show me how that play can be raised to the level of great art, are not more than a diversion, entertainment.
Today, your comments on MLK contained something of real value, more important–essential. I can recall once or twice hearing you interject, between your sports views, comments of a sociopolitical nature. Although I sometimes may disagree on a Nick's Pick, I've yet to find any flaw in your views of the world out there beyond our simple enjoyment of sports.
Thank you; keep up the good work. (And yes, I do appreciate that to keep your audience, you probably have to keep those type of comments to a minimum.) I hope your sports-focused audience, some of whom might not give those real-world issues a second thought, doesn't just fast forward through them but gives them a listen.

  4. Bills had to play against the Dolphins, the Officials, the NFL, and the Owners, and still won. Thankfully, the Officials and Bookies just needed to make sure the Bills wouldn't cover the spread. Ridiculous Officiating. The worst had to be @1:00 left in the first half with blatantly obvious pass interference against Beasley that allowed a deflection interception. That alone was a 14 point swing, or insurance against covering the spread. You can take that INT off of Allen and give it to the Bookies and the corrupt NFL!

  5. This is some excellent analysis from Nick. I can't wait to watch First Things First to see what Brew and Wildes have to say and how they're going to try and spin the Bills and Bengals as having good victories.

  6. Nick…..it's all on Brady, he refused to run and wear that defense down. Part of the running problem is he's throwing when they should run, looking to stat pad and I'm a huge huge brady fan

  7. WHo's your top 5 QB Nick? I have these guys in front of Trevor Lawrence without a doubt, but in no particular order: Mahomes, Geno, Rodgers, Hurts, Lamar, Allen, Burrow, Dak, Danny Dimes, Herbert, and Carr. I also don't think he's better than Purdy, Fields, and Geoff. The bottom line is, he's not a top 10 QB, yet.

  8. Nick only gives credit to previous wins when it’s the chiefs or jags. He completely discounts the bengals wins over the chiefs or the bills win this season over the chiefs. With thy said I picked the 49ers over the chiefs in the post season so I kinda get it 😂

  9. Hey Nick! I love the show. If you think college is so important for the NFL when it comes to QB’s then why don’t you think Bennett will be drafted? This dude has owned college football for 2 years. Back to champ as QB in the playoff format. He’s in the SEC which is by far the best conference in college ball. The ACC is basically the pac 12 these days…. Even worse honestly. Is it only high school records that count or next size that’s different between these two players?
FYI. I don’t think Stetson is a pro ball player but I just wanna hear your argument why you keep bringing up college stats for Lawrence and not other players? Is it cuz he’s simply been a generational talent since he was 13?? If that’s the case then your tales aren’t special. You’ve picked the favorite since he was 13

  10. Damonza can’t fathom what Nick is seeing during the games. The Dolphins were never in that game. I know the exact moment it was done for them. I got up to cook, and the dam broke while I was just listening

  11. Excluding that last play, Cousins played one of the best games he ever has as a Viking. That’s the problem. It still wasn’t enough to beat the least talented team in the whole tournament. Giants played out of this world, credit where it’s due.

  12. Nick’s take on Josh Allen is spot on. I’d take Allen over Lawrence tho, I think Allen is a tease but with the right play caller his arm + his legs he’s a tough cover but it’s close Trev is that guy too

  13. Josh Allen feels like the poor man's Lebron of football. Facilitates the offense in every way you could ask him to but has a lot of turnovers due to being asked to do that much 🤔

  14. Lol nick loves saying he saw cheifs beat them by 21 but fails to mention it was 1 score game until late the niners had 7 players missing and bosa and Mooney ward rushed back for game but we're not in good form and now niners have CMC starting and Brock purdy scoring 12 points a game more plus niner benched all there players down 12 and cheifs got some garbage time points it was close for long time but cheifs were better that day no doubt but it's diffent team now I'm not saying niners deffo better than cheifs but it won't be a blow out
