Prince Harry and Meghan Markle secrets revealed in Valentine Low interview | Palace Confidential

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle secrets revealed in Valentine Low interview | Palace Confidential. One of the Queen’s favourite aides told colleagues compared working with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to working with teenagers, according to Valentine Low, the author of ‘Courtiers’, a bombshell new royal book. Valentine Low, the author of Courtiers, has told a special episode of Palace Confidential about the ‘harsh’ treatment that Samantha Cohen received while working for the pair before they left the Royal Family. ‘When she started, Harry knew her well, and liked her and she liked Harry. Sam is an incredible problem solver, she’s a can-do personality and she just found it really difficult,’ he says. ‘She was asked to do things that a private secretary wouldn’t normally be asked to do and I think she was treated harshly. She was shouted at by Meghan… she was said to have said that dealing with them was like dealing with a couple of teenagers.’ Low also describes the ‘crushing’ phrase that Meghan Markle used to one of her team and he goes into detail into what he believes really happened during Meghan Markle Tiaragate saga during the Royal wedding.

  1. You'd think that after a thousand years of monarchy and 100 years of the House of Windsor, they'd have worked out what to do with the Number 2 and expected him to accept his dimishing proximity to the Throne.

  2. They are a bunch who dance to crooked cath's direction, mayb forced by the job description : the layabout queen bee stinger with her la di dah airs!!

So much was aired about how 'Megan made Kate cry' …. The trolls went to town based on the k.palace p.r. (the executive bunch)….

How they all must hv hated the true opening up on oprah …. For all those racists who gave Meg and Harry a bad time : boo!!

  3. Jo is one of the best interviewers for “all things palace” and this chat with Valentine Low was just excellent. Mr. Low’s comments were fair, compassionate and show his in depth research. As for Andrew, he needs to be punted from his current residence as he is no longer a working member of the family while the H & M Californians need to stop their entitled behavior / frequent bashing of the RF and seek out other ways to support / contribute to societal issues.

  4. The basic problem was Meghan married Harry because she thought she could be very rich and famous and live a opulent life of prestige and relative leisure with a few high profile charity events throughout the year. She found out Harry is not that rich unto himself and money/support/security required regular duties she disliked doing. Now it appears the world will never hear the end of her resentment she didn't get what she expected from marrying Harry. Harry himself wanted to be more important than his abilities allowed him to be and expected lots of money, security, and privileges without doing those pesky duties.

  5. Rather than worry about being "irrelevant" – here's an idea – Harry could have actually worked towards getting a proper job and work for a living! Like the rest of us!

  6. re: MeGain- Royal News Network host repeated an excellent comparison – the Military. There are rules. Guidelines. Uniform requirements. And he or she sign on the Serve. Now – the Monarchy is quite quite different, but the idea that one who volunteers into an Institution is not unreasonable to abide by what a nominal requests of Monarchy vs the strict service of Military. So not wearing black, not walking behind Harry, just simple compliance to the Institution is absurd. Then just do not marry him, move along to a Hollywood producer. To think she did not understand Monarchy as a Service Institution makes her every “Archetype” she fears, as that’s just plain stupidity.

  7. Jo is a fantastic journalist with a track record in bringing a sense of balance, and someone who has always also supported women being independent. So I like her sitting at the helm in these interviews. Valentine’s book is also well written, researched and balanced. It’s not about the RF vs Harry and Meghan at all, it is far more nuanced than that. Great one-on-one interview!

  8. But Harry has made himself totally irrelevant now and ended his shelf life to the point he no longer has one. Not a visionary and would it have mattered. He could have gone on to do so much good. What he has and does now must be so unfulfilling empty and it’s totally irrelevant.

  9. Interesting and complex personality dynamics. The courtiers remind me of platoon sergeants. They advise, cajole and give their platoon leaders, the junior officers, the benefit of their years and wisdom, but they're never their friends and ultimately do what they're told. An intelligent lieutenant will listen to his platoon sergeant, but ultimately he makes the command decision.

  10. But, whatever the case, Andrew is so arrogant he wouldn’t have listened to anyone’s advice. He is thick and boorish and he hanged himself in that interview which, incidentally I have read from reliable sources, he insisted on doing despite others giving advice not to. He and Harry have much common ground in this respect.

  11. If true, can you blame Megan for wanting to get the hell out of Dodge? Who was the genius to suggest a bride/Princess, beholding of an inferior race complex, consider moving to South Africa? Might as well have asked her to go to Haiti, Congo, Compton (CA-USA), or Harlem (NY-USA). Freaking Rocket Scientists!

Should’ve suggested they go to Canada for a spell – then non of this crap would’ve occurred.

  12. Why couldn’t Meghan use a costume tiara for her fitting as Catherine did?

I’d like to add the alleged tiara story was not simply down to the fitting of the tiara. Meghan had been perusing the catalogue of the Queen’s tiaras and demanded a tiara that was not offered. Idk why Valentine is coming across this way. The Palace bent over backwards for this spoiled brat. Give me a bloody break.

  13. Ph made an enormous mistake with his marriage. I don't know what will happen. I actually have not taken the marriage seriously for a long time. I think it's possible they don't even live together, because she is so unbelievably annoying and prone to bullying. I think their ridiculous public hand – holding is their way of trying to keep the fakery going

  17. An excellent interview. I'm no fan of Harry and Meghan but saw this and thought it was going to be an angry rant by a man wanting to sell massive numbers of books. I couldn't have been more wrong. If anything, I think he portrayed them as positively as he could.

  18. So many books were published this year, all with similar opinions about H&M. Clearly they’re are factual and we are looking at quite nasty behaviors from them. How can they portray themselves as philanthropist acting so awful towards their families and people that worked for them? Hypocrisy at it’s finest.

  19. With regard to private secretaries, I'm sure there are times when the secretary may be need in intimate settings.
For example the Royals are so busy that they may need their secretary while changing clothes for the next event,
etc. Very awkward if your secretary is a woman.
    Aren't Princess Anne's secretaries females?
