Good stuff mac, keep rippin em man π€ down here in the u.p. of michigan, I've used handlines for lakers, call em gebbos or fish sticks. Definitely a different feel lol those tipups look kinda legit tho, might hafta try one. And don't worry about breaking the stick, it obviously couldn't handle a Mac attack π
We frequently use "bobbing hoops" for lake trout in mn. When you use braid there's no real need for a trad rod&reel for smaller fish under 10lbs
Funny stuff Mac. Fireball fireball!! Iβm from Maine and 99% run the Jack Traps. I prefer rod/reel unless going for brookies that get caught right in shore in 2β-6β then I use the tip ups. Canβt imagine hand lining monster togue/pike of northern Manitoba
Maine made Jack traps!! Heck yeah!
The moment the stick brokeππ that was a comical video. Great job again!!
Another great video! Thanks Mac!β€οΈπ£
Keep Emily, throw the stick for the dog. βοΈ
awesome content keep up the hard work
Epic hand bombing lol.
I love Jack traps and there shop in monmouth maine is so cool as I live only a couple hours away and have been using them for years now
Great video you 2! The fire ball comment made me laugh as we have experienced it as well. Funny story also as my Dad and I where up your way and we met Ben and his group and got the pleasure of fishing with them a few years ago. What a great bunch and the days were filled with many laughs and stories. The hand line takes me back in the day as well and what a struggle we had as well. I will be showing this to my Dad and he will smile as he still uses it often. I believe his are made from hockey sticks as the stick breaking happened more often than not. π
We want to hear more from the wife!
Look forward to checking it out up there! Another great video bud π
Have a buddy, who'll only use a soft rosewood branch/spool of line/piece of electrical tape, to fish for lakers. Great day out, thanks for sharing!!
Mainly for lunch π
My Mr buddy just did the same thing! First time ever! Lost some eyebrow hair
