Celebrating the one-year anniversary of her breakout tune ‘Higher Dimension’, Henri Bergmann’s Automatik label has put together a series of superb new remixes from Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile, Bergmann herself, Thodoris Triantafillou and Human Rias.
The original was a staple in Maceo Plex’s sets in the past year and has become a cult underground favourite with the initial remixes by Mark Hoffen, 19:26 and Jonathan Kaspar getting played by everyone from Tale of Us to Denis Horvat. Now it gets a new lease of life which is sure to bring it back to the fore once more.
Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile go first to bring you some sci-fi synth designs over deep rolling drums. It’s a stylish prog cut designed to make a big impact. Henri then shows her diverse skills as a producer with a more techno leaning production that is big, powerful and makes for a crushing groove, filled with plenty of subtle synth drama and laser lit pads. Thodoris Triantafillou goes for spine-tingling cosmic vibes with a sparse but atmospheric breakdown and some twitchy acid lines that bring the energy, and Human Rias closes down with elegant synths dancing over seductive techno drums. The meaningful melodies bring true emotion to this powerful cut.
These are great new additions to the ever more essential catalogue of the Automatik label.
