  1. The penalty on Alinghi was absolutely ridiculous. I don't know what the umpires were looking at. Maybe there was a glitch in their system. From the video, GBR was not impeded from tacking to avoid France by Alinghi. It's calls like this that piss me off when it comes to watching AC and SailGP. What was Alinghi supposed to do? It was GBR that should have seen the cross a mile away and taken avoiding action. What is the point of these races if they aren't going to be run fairly?

  2. The visuals are interesting, but something has to be done about the audio. Sounds like the inside of a machine shop or a dentist drill. Not the sound of wind in sails and wakes of sailboats that it should be. Not pleasant at all.

  3. Close ups and on board look pretty – but they are very frustrating when you want to watch the racing. So many key moments were missed to show wings going up and down and bobbling heads in cockpits. Please show us the racing.

  4. From a photography point of view, only a few places from shore to photograph. Hope there are more ribs/press boats out there tomorrow.
Great racing, maybe close racing at the buoy's might knock a boat of the foils with rudder going light
Looking forward to a brilliant weekend wish I was there

  5. That should have been a penalty for Ineos, France had to dip them, not Alinghi. These umpires spend too much time looking at animations and data, and not the live action. It was fairly obvious in my opinion.

  8. Disappointed that the audio from the commentators and the boats are still being aired at the same time. It's confusing and unnecessary. Why not do it like Formula 1 where they just air the team radio if there's something interesting to hear?

  9. I don't understand why, in Race 1 when GBR was disqualified, they were still shown as being in the lead 'til they finished but when SUI are disqualified they are taken off the leaderboard and get no coverage! These are all practice races right?
