We are now doing weekly aerial flyovers depending on the support that we get. Our cost range from pilot fees to rental fees of the Cessna 172 that is used for the flyovers over the sites.

  1. i must admit — i dont understand why test tanks always seem to be so Late at masseys — i mean didnt thay have time to do catching stress tests a year ago — or arent they expecting catch from v1 test articles

  2. I’m thinking the new door to the star factory is actually for unloading of parts and / or an alternative door to transport sections over to the mega bay. It may be a drive through arrangement.

  3. It maybe the lighting.,but The item about to go into the can crusher looks like it’s made from titanium not stainless steel. This would make a lot of sense to test for an ultimate change from stainless steel to titanium as spacex would get a structural mass reduction of about forty percent. It seems logical to prototype in steel because of the cost and then transition over to titanium and solve all the overweight issues in one go and possibly increase to mass to orbit to 350 tons.

  4. Always great recaps, just wish you would slow down a touch, you talk very quickly and move on quick, there's so much to take in. I usually have to slow the video to x0.75 speed

  5. If you fly over the border (with permission) can you fly at a lower altitude when over Mexico? Also, what are the rules for flying a drone in Mexico? It'd be great to get drone views of test firing's at Massey's.
Btw, I still hate calling it Massey's, it's such a misnomer. It's the ship testing site now. Or, the Ship Testing Site.
