At night, in the sky over the Dnepropetrovsk region, air defense forces shot down six Iranian kamikaze drones.
This was announced by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA Valentin Reznichenko on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“The night rumble in the sky is the work of our air defense. A few hours later, the military personnel of the Vostok aviation command destroyed 6 Shahed-136 enemy kamikaze drones over the area. Our defenders are strength,” the message says.
Mayor of Dnipro Boris Filatov also reported the sounds of explosions at night.
On the night of November 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 12 out of 13 enemy Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
According to Ukrinform, the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Telegram.
“On the night of October 1-2, the enemy attacked Ukraine from the east with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. 12 out of 13 loitering ammunition were destroyed by air defense systems in the eastern and central regions of the state,” the report says. .
Six UAVs were shot down by anti-aircraft missile units, aviation and mobile fire groups of the Vostok aviation command.
Six more are under the responsibility of the aviation command of the Center with the involvement of fighter aircraft, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ground Forces and the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported, the police urge Ukrainians to call 102 regarding a missile or drone overflight.
On the night of November 2, Russia attacked the Cherkasy region with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
The head of the Cherkasy OVA, Ihor Taburets, wrote about this in his telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.
“All night long, the enemy terrorized one of the masses of the Cherkasy region. Air defense forces shot down two Shahids. One hit an infrastructure facility. Fortunately, people were not injured. And this is the most important thing,” wrote Taburets.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko said on Telegram that the drone fell into an empty fuel tank.
According to him, the consequences of the hit were eliminated, there were no casualties.

  5. I still cannot believe they haven't been provided some type of defense that can shoot down these slow moving aircraft. Why can't they simply use WWII vintage AA flak? Save their missiles for cruise missiles!!!

    They should have patriot missiles and iron dome………even if Israel wanted to guard them themselves!!!
