  1. I just started building a budget creature-only Karador deck (with Umori), and I didn't even know Primaris Eliminator existed! Absolutely going in. Seeing that Mentor is cheap too is also nice.

  2. 90 cents for a great strong card. Hmmmm. Great strong decks? Anyone, anyone? Trade value? Resalability? Nah, no one needs that. WotC has priced everyone out. Hoarders have blacklisted half the market. Budget bombs? More like budget Deathstars.

  3. Running Shigeki and Wayfinder in my Meren deck and love their utility and value at two mana. Prismaris eliminator felt a bit costly at 5 mana to me but I may have to reconsider. Great bombs as always.

  4. Yall just sold me on Faerie Seer in Lonis lmao. Lonis loves cheap lil shitters and the scry 2 helps smooth out the curve early and digs for gas late when you always have a clue up to draw whatever you scried to the top.

  5. I run Shigeki in my Tuvasa enchantment deck, it’s a great little value piece to increase my enchantment count, get enchantment cast triggers, chump block and ramp bounce, and grab back a key card or two later.

Primaris Eliminator is in my Yarok deck, but knowing it’s that cheap, another one for Henzie does sound great.

  6. Mob Rule: Once a day i played against a lifelink/+1/+1-Counter Deck. All hope in this round was gone. There was around 100 potential DMG on the board. The other players flipped out and in charge to scoop up. And than i played this card with my Mardu Aristocrats Deck. Punched the player with his own creatures und sacrificed them at the end to shoot the other players…. Jaw dropping card!

  7. Inspired tinkering the best in a deck that reduces instants and sorceries, and you don’t need to reduce it by very much at all. In magic you spend two resources, mana and cards. If you can make your instants and sorceries cost 2 less to cast its free cards, if you can make tinkering cost 1 red you are guaranteed to win the game. Not even joking, every time I’ve been in a situation to cast tinkering for 1 it’s lead to a win.

  8. Genesis Hydra in an X spell deck doesn't actually work very well because it doesn't synergise with X spells. Depends what other cards you have in the deck, but just be aware you'll whiff a fair amount with it!

  9. Primaris Eliminator is weird, the art defies Warhammer canon about a specific chapter of space marines having coal-black skin.
Probably the artist was tasked with making a black person and they took it figuratively, not the first time this happened.

  10. Painful quandary works great in my non budget Liesa shroud of dusk deck. It’s a decent mana investment but having to discard a card for every spell that you cast is pretty brutal and will diminish your resources quite quickly, but even if you choose to lose 5 life that’s 7 life with liesa out per spell, so if you don’t wanna discard any cards then you’re losing 14-21 life a turn just for double/triple spelling

  11. I prefer Oppression over Painful Quandary It is symetrical, yes, but it also is cheaper and against control decks that NEED their cards and keep up the card advantage, leaving them the option to just pay 5 life is suboptimal.

EDIT: And yes I know Oppression is not Budget, but it was when I put it into my Malfegor deck. Painful Quandary was way more expensive back then.
