The respect you two have for the US flag makes me extremely happy, I used to fold flags at funerals about a decade ago, I even had to fold my best friends flag and present it to his parents. To see people from another country love and respect our flag so much its just amazing to me, coming from someone who knows what the flag stands for and what it means to so many of us, you two are definitely honorary americans in my eyes.

I am not sure you are quite understanding the significance of the flag. That is not simply the same type of flag flown over the US Capitol building, that exact flag was actually flown there! That is what the certificate is about. They run them up the pole and let them fly for a bit and then package them up so US Senators and Congresspersons can gift them to VIP's.

Love a good Road Atlas – I learned to read maps by navigating on family vacations. In this day of GPS and such, you still cannot beat a good map! Cooks Country is from US Public Television and they have some of the best test kitchens and recipes; that is a wonderful set of cookbooks there.

When in Austin or San Antonio don’t Google Tex-Mex. Just Google Mexican. Mexican restaurants are much better than Tex-Mex.
When driving to San Antonio from Austin, you will see a Buckys just before you get to San Antonio. Just off the highway. That’s the biggest one in Texas.
