Something that struck me in the end is that Helena referred to her son as “the boy” instead of saying his name. Idk if that’s just because of she is coo-coo or she just didn’t give a shit about the kid.

Larys did kind of hint to Alicent that he knew who she was with and what she was doing. Alicent better hope Larys is not the jealous type because he will have all of them burned in their sleep.
Also from what ive been seeing the guys did more than check the kids. HBO spared us.
That Blood and Cheese scene is extremely bland and boring compared to the psychological horror as depicted in the book. First major mistep of the show imo, but I'm willing to forgive it. And I will forgive it, but damn, that scene was just plain bad compared to the horror on page.

I dont' think Alicent was fronting with the candel thing… I though that this episode was trying to show us that she was struggling with the reality of what she has become and what her team trully is. I think she really though of herself as a good vertuous(-ish) person and part of the good side…She did not want to play and game and doesn't enjoy it like her father but remember how he convinced her that she had no choice as basically this other side are the big bad guys with no moral who will kill kids (her kids) just to remove potential threat… That how he got her..and now it's her side who started killing kids and it is her own son who did it…the thing with the guard at the beggining, the rough shame scrubbing in the bath…I though it was to show that she is fully seeing the parallel with what she was holding over Rhaenyra…
