🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

This game looks really cool! Makes me sad I don’t have a PC…
This really looks like it has potential. If they keep that gritty edge and don't do the jrpg dumb fuckerie that Waste lands 3 had,it should do well. More voice acting would be great to, but how long is the game? You used to get 100 +hrs for games and not to long ago. Nothing is worse then 90$ for a short game with little replay ability. We need a game in this genre that has good replay ability. I'm kind of Bethesda'ed out. I so hope they dotted the I's and crossed the T's. Fingers crossed. Take care everybody.
I'll be very happy if you go for humanist/nihilist I think that's a cool combo and philosophically the most interesting. Kinda like positive nihilism (it's a real thing – basic principle is that there are no true meaning of life – but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make the most out of it while trying to make the world a better place, both as individuals and as a society
Kurzgezagt has has a brilliant video on the concept that explains it in a much better way than I can
Please do playthrough!
Hoping you do a full playthrough of this, when I saw this in development, I was truly impressed by the minute details that were accurate to not just the country, but the region! I've visited the Wheatbelt several times.
I know it's post-apocalyptic and everything, but I'd be saying "nah, I'm out" right when the lookout threatens to KILL you if you don't do a simple chore for her. I know she probably isn't serious, but I'm not doing ANYTHING for anyone who idly makes deadly threats.
Watched the first 10 min of this video so far. Interesting concept of a game. I would have wished they'd gone all the way and allow the players to hide the DISC and the stats completely so that players won't be tempted to meta through out the game. 🙂
This looks cool. Reminds me a bit of Miasma Chronicles, but with a heavier emphasis on RPG mechanics, which I love. Very cool. 🙂
Brother I want to know your opinion, very little positive about this game, I love wasteland 2 and was waiting for this
Some reason I have a craving for a blooming onion, huh?
Haha – tits deep. Up to your ankles, haha. Tits deep means up to ya titties – so a lot more than your average ankle.
I picked all the same options you did. (for the ethics questions)
Love the art style and graphics of this game.
Really liking their immediate and clear acknowledgment of our First Nations people. Great job, devs!
Sounds like Karlac is in the cast.
Immersion broken. Its been ten minutes and no animals has tried to kill him yet, and he has guns. Obviously not really australia.
Hmm I might pick this one up, also interesting how you would tackle the story with your morale compass
Combat camera is too agressive. In general, combat is weak.
sick
I am very excited to not only play this game myself but to see more of it from your play through.
not sure where the guns are from, they banned them decades ago
Living in Australia it is really good to see a game based here, hope you continue to play the game
Leaving Ella got her rifle back? How did that happen?
That voiceover at the start is… a choice. She sounds too cheerful and also like she’s reading from something directly in front of her. Makes it feel amateurish right off the bat.
The test: 3,1,4,3,4,1
It would be interesting, if they make take you this type of test and it actually change the world.
Don't xcom this one lmao
It got that fallout 1 – 2 & wasteland 1 – 2 vibe. Awesome!
"Not mad, bait." 😂
It does look like a bit of an oldschool fallout clone – and there are a tonne of those out there. Not sure anything other than the moral compass system particularly stands out and even then it's just a four-axis version of the old "paragon-renegade" system bioware used to use. I'm also not sure that "humanism" and "nihilism" should be neighbours or close than humanism and machiavellianism. Even machiavelli (in the Prince) didn't disregard human life or existence like a nihilist would.
Speaking of Disco Elysium, the other look you considered at the start looked a lot like a slightly younger and less drunk Harrier.
I believe your percentages were bad for 3 reasons: Your level compared to theirs, Darkness, and their armor/defense (can't remember which affects aim). The NPC party members start higher level and better stats than you pretty much.
