🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

  1. This really looks like it has potential. If they keep that gritty edge and don't do the jrpg dumb fuckerie that Waste lands 3 had,it should do well. More voice acting would be great to, but how long is the game? You used to get 100 +hrs for games and not to long ago. Nothing is worse then 90$ for a short game with little replay ability. We need a game in this genre that has good replay ability. I'm kind of Bethesda'ed out. I so hope they dotted the I's and crossed the T's. Fingers crossed. Take care everybody.

  2. I'll be very happy if you go for humanist/nihilist I think that's a cool combo and philosophically the most interesting. Kinda like positive nihilism (it's a real thing – basic principle is that there are no true meaning of life – but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make the most out of it while trying to make the world a better place, both as individuals and as a society

Kurzgezagt has has a brilliant video on the concept that explains it in a much better way than I can

  3. I know it's post-apocalyptic and everything, but I'd be saying "nah, I'm out" right when the lookout threatens to KILL you if you don't do a simple chore for her. I know she probably isn't serious, but I'm not doing ANYTHING for anyone who idly makes deadly threats.

  4. Watched the first 10 min of this video so far. Interesting concept of a game. I would have wished they'd gone all the way and allow the players to hide the DISC and the stats completely so that players won't be tempted to meta through out the game. 🙂

  5. It does look like a bit of an oldschool fallout clone – and there are a tonne of those out there. Not sure anything other than the moral compass system particularly stands out and even then it's just a four-axis version of the old "paragon-renegade" system bioware used to use. I'm also not sure that "humanism" and "nihilism" should be neighbours or close than humanism and machiavellianism. Even machiavelli (in the Prince) didn't disregard human life or existence like a nihilist would.

  6. I believe your percentages were bad for 3 reasons: Your level compared to theirs, Darkness, and their armor/defense (can't remember which affects aim). The NPC party members start higher level and better stats than you pretty much.
