Portal RTX is out on the 8th, and features a fully raytraced campaign through the original Portal. Any card with raytracing support can (attempt to!) run it.

Nvidia provided me an early access key to Portal RTX which is how I got early access to this title.

The part that really bothers me is just how weird the portal edges look.
I just finished portal and portal 2 few days ago
I don't understand people complaining about a free tech demo as if it were portal 3
Me who doesn't have a device capable of RTX: "interesting…"
why from all things you refused to show the net_graph to get the actual fps amount? not be blunt but did those nvidia lawyers tell you not to do? because i feel like this video was a clear sponsor, you skipped crucial things that do normally in your csgo tech stuffs showing real numbers and how performance it is, but here, i feel like you either skipped it on purposed or they force you to do so?, i like your content but this is not good :I
its not for me
im sure portal rtx had a lot of tweaks but if rtx remix does even 25% of what it claims it can do, we gonna have a lot of fun modding games in the future. cant wait for this to release.
i will do portal 1 coop with this DLC
get ready
If you haven't tried an rtx 3090 with a crazy cpu, just know that it isn't rtx, it's RTSecks
Still hilarious that a decades old game with a coat of paint is the selling point of $2000 and $1200 graphics cards. What a joke
i watched that "klikbait" video before, that guy sure wanted a lot of attention…. I never watched that channel ever again
SKYRIM RTX DON'T TEASE ME I WANT IT
ughuahh imagine the synapse or unatco hq looking like this. it might be too much to handle…
Noby seems to be commending you for how slick your side by side comparison is here. Great work, number 2.

Cursed
This is going to be used to sell us a new version of Skyrim, isn't it? Edit: Right after, just needed to wait 3 more seconds.
Does the raytracing cross portals?
Black Mesa would look incredible with the remix touch!
HL2 VR RTX is gonna be sick
I wonder if you can mod source filmmaker to support ray traced lighting
They messed up the artstyle by taking DirectX 8 version of portal unlike DirectX 9.
Now showcase Fortnite lumen ❤️
NOO NO MORE SKYRIM PLEASE REMASTER OBLIVION
looks awful
as someone with an RTX capable card, I hope these tools can be used to modify assets (like in the Morrowind video) without forcing RTX on. simply being able to "remaster" a game is amazing on its own right.
I have no idea how you did those comparisons where you are seemingly in the exact same spot even while moving around, but that's really neat.
Would love to see this done to Mirror’s Edge
The lighting looks good, but the new materials SUCK
With how close Portal 1 is to Half Life 2 to the point where its the only other game where the backwards bhop is unpatched, you might as well say that HL2 RTX is releasing December 9th lol
i dont think every game should have ray tracing
I don't really mind the new textures and assets as it doesn't really betray the lore with Portal 2.
i hope my 2080 runs this fine o_O
arguably it's only playable for RTX 40 series owners… I guess that's the point
So to run a 15 year old game with added sheen, I'll have to buy a near $2k top of the line graphics card because a recent RTX3070 Ti doesn't have the vram to render it above 900p.
That they needed time to develop this mod means that developers are definitely required. I am not impressed anymore. That the rt takes like 20 frames to fully update is really bad and that on a 4090. Also the cost makes this pointless so we have to wait for a 7090 or similar to actually get sufficient rt performance to get fully updated frames every frame. I went amd for the time being. Nvidia is just too expensive. 1080ti performance is still 600€ and I only get 8gb vram.
I'm stoked for this! That being said I've seen a lot of pessimistic people online being really nasty to the devs of this mod, which to me seems really uncalled for. It's almost as if they want this project to be a failure.
destroys the art style by making it much much much more darker imo
It looks great, but the tiles are wayyy too glossy, it completely loses the look of the games
