Portal RTX

Portal RTX is out on the 8th, and features a fully raytraced campaign through the original Portal. Any card with raytracing support can (attempt to!) run it.

  1. why from all things you refused to show the net_graph to get the actual fps amount? not be blunt but did those nvidia lawyers tell you not to do? because i feel like this video was a clear sponsor, you skipped crucial things that do normally in your csgo tech stuffs showing real numbers and how performance it is, but here, i feel like you either skipped it on purposed or they force you to do so?, i like your content but this is not good :I

  2. im sure portal rtx had a lot of tweaks but if rtx remix does even 25% of what it claims it can do, we gonna have a lot of fun modding games in the future. cant wait for this to release.

  3. as someone with an RTX capable card, I hope these tools can be used to modify assets (like in the Morrowind video) without forcing RTX on. simply being able to "remaster" a game is amazing on its own right.

  4. With how close Portal 1 is to Half Life 2 to the point where its the only other game where the backwards bhop is unpatched, you might as well say that HL2 RTX is releasing December 9th lol

  5. That they needed time to develop this mod means that developers are definitely required. I am not impressed anymore. That the rt takes like 20 frames to fully update is really bad and that on a 4090. Also the cost makes this pointless so we have to wait for a 7090 or similar to actually get sufficient rt performance to get fully updated frames every frame. I went amd for the time being. Nvidia is just too expensive. 1080ti performance is still 600€ and I only get 8gb vram.

  6. I'm stoked for this! That being said I've seen a lot of pessimistic people online being really nasty to the devs of this mod, which to me seems really uncalled for. It's almost as if they want this project to be a failure.
