  1. Thanks for filming me in this very well done video! ❤️. May I suggest for you to come back in a week or two when we will have all our Halloween items out in the gift shop and you definitely need to come film Yeehaw Bob at night when he is here performing. He is awesome and a huge draw to the resort. It’s fun hearing the guests sing along with him. ❤️

  2. I bet the "Cairo" referenced on the sign is Cairo, Illinois – it's the southernmost point in Illinois, used to be a booming town right where the Ohio River meets the Mississippi River!

  3. Boatwrights is delicious, give it a try! As for the cities outside (St. Louis, Memphis, etc.) I believe those are cities you can get to on the Mississippi River from New Orleans.

  4. Stayed in the Magnolia Bend section of Dixie Landings in 1996, for the 25th anniversary. Our then 3 and 4 year old children loved the pool and playground on ol' man island. Came back last December for the 50th anniversary and stayed in the Alligator Bayou section. There is a lot of walking involved at this resort due to it's massive size, but to us it's worth the peacefulness and tranquility.

  5. I absolutely love both Port Orleans resorts! Very found memories from Riverside and French Quarter is just a ‘vibe’! I love the smaller size and the enjoy the Club there.

  6. Also after watching this video I am gonna virtually throw something at the people who complain about the walk to the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation! 😅 Those Bayou rooms are in another county! 😂

  7. I was hoping you'd go into the restrooms at the fast service restaurant, Tim. They have tanks of water above the toilet on the wall, where you pull a metal chain to flush the toilet. You are totally immersed, even in the restroom! (At least they were there when I stayed at POR about 15 years ago). I've also stayed at POFQ a couple of times; I can't remember if their toilets were the same.

  8. I worked in the Riverside mill in 2013 (Disney college program) and can tell you that the theme is "cotton mill" and the name of the costumes that the front of house staff wear is called "cotton picker" at least that's what it was 10 years ago.

  9. The level of detail at this resort is staggering. The "colonial" style buildings had grand staircases that go up to the second floor. The "colonial" houses from that area would of had the main entrance into the house on the 2nd floor. Because of floods they would not use the first floor for the owners.
