In today’s vlog we head to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort for a resort and hotel grounds walking tour! We start at Disney Springs and we head to Port Orleans Riverside via bus! KING OF THE BUS! This resort is beautiful and it was really nice to have a stroll around it. We saw the pool and location of the amenities. There were lots of activities to do around the resort as well! All in all it was a pretty great day! We really liked this side of the resort a lot! Thank you for watching and we’ll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

When we stayed there West was the best of the stops. No one went there and it was stop #1 vs at the main building which was the last stop and where everyone went. It means a lot of you have a child in a wheelchair, and there are limited wheelchair spaces available.
Wow beautiful 😊
Thanks for filming me in this very well done video! ❤️. May I suggest for you to come back in a week or two when we will have all our Halloween items out in the gift shop and you definitely need to come film Yeehaw Bob at night when he is here performing. He is awesome and a huge draw to the resort. It’s fun hearing the guests sing along with him. ❤️
Love this resort. It is so nostalgic to me!
About 3 massage chairs🤣🤣 oh Tim
I bet the "Cairo" referenced on the sign is Cairo, Illinois – it's the southernmost point in Illinois, used to be a booming town right where the Ohio River meets the Mississippi River!
We used to stay at Aligator Bayou when I was little and it was not yet Riverside. It was so peaceful. A lovely way to get away from the crowds
I love my Wilderness Lodge (home) but when money is tighter and i HAVE to goto Disney, this is my 2nd home and I love it here too.
Love this! Staying here in September ❤
Boatwrights is delicious, give it a try! As for the cities outside (St. Louis, Memphis, etc.) I believe those are cities you can get to on the Mississippi River from New Orleans.
It was so delicious. At there last summer. The onion soup was amazing. Love the decor.
Boatwrights is meh. We ate there last week
The city name Cairo is at the southern tip of Illinois. It was once a major river city. It's pronounced "care'-o". I grew up next door in Mounds.
Good tour. Would be better if you could show a few sleeping rooms.
Jenn you did amazing job of editing! Great job.♥️
Yay resort tour!! That’s actually how I found this channel, looking for AKL resort tours 4 years ago!
My husband and I love your channel! We are 21 days away from our family vacation to WDW. Thank you for the great info. Keep making videos!
Old man island 😂
Stayed in the Magnolia Bend section of Dixie Landings in 1996, for the 25th anniversary. Our then 3 and 4 year old children loved the pool and playground on ol' man island. Came back last December for the 50th anniversary and stayed in the Alligator Bayou section. There is a lot of walking involved at this resort due to it's massive size, but to us it's worth the peacefulness and tranquility.
I saw a wedding performed on the large grassy area 2 years ago.
I am assuming it’s Cairo, Illinois, not Egypt. 🙂
sorry i gave you a thumbs down on this video this is longer than a tv drama
The rooms around where the princess banners are are called the royal rooms. These are the only princess themed rooms in Walt Disney world.
Tim the Magnolia Bend Mansion buildings are not new, they are original to the resort. We stayed in the Acadian House in 1992.
The greatest hotel in America .
The cities are all ports
Tim the explanation of the steamboat replica. I was laughing all my butts off. Made me think of tropic thunder. I'm a dude playing a dude dressed like another dude.
Also DVD commentary on tropic thunder is about the best. If you haven't at least do a 15 minimum of that. It's the best .
First resort we stayed in at Disney over 15 years ago
Tim I love your reviews brother you do thinking and things right thanks ..
I absolutely love both Port Orleans resorts! Very found memories from Riverside and French Quarter is just a ‘vibe’! I love the smaller size and the enjoy the Club there.
Tim no doubt time traveler Branson. Best I've ever rode.
It's the click going up
None of that just drop. It's the best I honestly I was laughing the whole time. It's so fun…😊
You have never heard grumbling and Vitale's have you
I'm rewatching this video and doing a shot every time Tim says "vestibule"! 😅
Also after watching this video I am gonna virtually throw something at the people who complain about the walk to the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation! 😅 Those Bayou rooms are in another county! 😂
I love Tim’s resort tour, needs to do more
I was hoping you'd go into the restrooms at the fast service restaurant, Tim. They have tanks of water above the toilet on the wall, where you pull a metal chain to flush the toilet. You are totally immersed, even in the restroom! (At least they were there when I stayed at POR about 15 years ago). I've also stayed at POFQ a couple of times; I can't remember if their toilets were the same.
Yeehaw Bob is an awesome and unique entertainer! I would love it if you'd do a video about him! Are you familiar with his show?
I worked in the Riverside mill in 2013 (Disney college program) and can tell you that the theme is "cotton mill" and the name of the costumes that the front of house staff wear is called "cotton picker" at least that's what it was 10 years ago.
In Fulton's Gift Shop, one actually does pick up packages that have been purchased by guests in the park who are staying at POR. They pick them up at the cash registers.
Disney does give you a paper map when you check into your hotel.
We stayed here back in 2019 because of your vids. Was our first trip. You and DFV
The level of detail at this resort is staggering. The "colonial" style buildings had grand staircases that go up to the second floor. The "colonial" houses from that area would of had the main entrance into the house on the 2nd floor. Because of floods they would not use the first floor for the owners.
We liked it there food is good but our room was so far from the buses and the main building and we had no bellhop service. This was four years ago.
When we stayed at port Orleans, we always walked over for breakfast at Boatwright!
This is our go to ❤
We love this resort and will be back in 10 days. Can’t wait to be back home 🥰
i’m heading here in 5 weeks!! Perfect timing 😊
