The Sunrise Police Department is trying to sweep this entire incident under the rug. We the People demand accountability. This is why it’s so important to know your rights & remain silent. Please please tell him me he sued them, cause even in her deposition she keeps saying that these two could be the ones with a gun. When the store owner in the beginning literally said they were here and witnessed it. Not involved, but were there, and since this cop couldn't impose her will and make the man who did nothing wrong, to physically take him down , handcuff and tazer him twice.

Why – whether she is in the right, or in the wrong – can women not answer simple yes or no questions with a simple yes or no answer? IF IF IF he wasn't lawfully detained…would he be free to leave? That's simple, Ma'am. It doesn't need some other scenario or more detail. If X, then Y? True or False? Yes or no? Right or wrong?
"I can't validate that he wasn't involved in a crime, so that is reasonable suspicion…." That's wrong, Ma'am. Being unable to validate that he wasn't…IS NOT THE SAME…as reasonably believing that he was. You can detain if you have reasonable suspicion THAT HE WAS, is, or is about to. The wording is pretty clear. It doesn't say you can detain if you're unable to validate that he wasn't.
Your inability to see the difference is frightening. I'm sure you think you're just trying to serve your community and make it a better place, but this inability makes you a BAD COP. Good intent is not enough. You have to know what the hell you're doing and how to do it correctly. You illegally battered and kidnapped that kid, WITHOUT reasonable suspicion THAT HE DID commit a crime.
Wow the officer was literally unraveling how she violated his rights and clearly did not see any problem of doing so. Couldn't answer basic questions cause saying it out loud she knew she sounded stupid!!!! Get that officer off the street!
