Ukrainian forces claim to have shot down a Russian A-50 military aircraft over the Azov Sea, RBC Ukraine reported on January 14. Another Russian military plane, the Il-22M command and control aircraft, was also reportedly shot down over Strilkove, Kherson on January 14. A salvo of three Ukrainian missiles was shot down over Russia’s south-western Kursk region on January 15 with no damage or casualties reported. Ukrainian partisans reportedly killed four Russian soldiers in the occupied city of Melitopol on January 14. The Institute for the Study of War has warned that Russia is preparing to launch a “large-scale offensive effort” once the ground in Ukraine freezes. The United Kingdom will deploy 20,000 military personnel across Europe to join the largest NATO exercise since the Cold War.

Ukraines claim to have shot down those planes are highly exaberated . There is no proof that this is true but there is proof that Ukraine likes to lie on such issues. The old saying, "truth is the first casulaty in war " still stands.
