Hacking in general is horrible. I got my home server hacked for ransomeware. I also took my loses and didn’t pay. I try to secure my stuff as much as possible.
You should think that with all the power Niantic have taking down spoofers they would help legit players. Dont they have loads of servers? Tracking history? Metadata? You would think they know everything about each player in their database… they just dont bother.
Wow that’s horrible, I wouldn’t know what I would do if mine ever got hacked… I spend so much time on PoGo, like you said it has sentimental value, money isn’t worth it at all… I hope she gets her account back 😢
Ninatic can sort this out in 5mins, they will have login logs that will show her account and the newly named account to trace it back, this is unacceptable.
No matter how this sounds, I hope there's a mass hacking event happening soon and half the world in an uproar about their hacked accounts. Only this way will the stupid, ignorant company of Niantic hear the players. It's proven that they only respond when everyone is pissed as fuck.

Just a game…..let it go and have a life. There are better meaningful things to do in life then throwing virtual balls. Not sian meh? Same game, same format and same boring things. Worse is….Niantic only want your money and they will never give you real life rewards despite you paying so much money.
I hate dealing with Niantic Support too, only one out of ten of tram really take the time to help get the problem solved. I wish there is a complaint escalation point or something that can help us out.
My account (launch 2016) has been stolen since October 25 and Niantic strictly refuses to help me. I even requested account deletion out of sheer desperation, but Niantic won't do that either. I feel so cheated.

Everytime I've had a problem like this I just say I'm going to refund back all my money spent and they actually help me out

Your story about COC is tragic. With that much time, energy and $ into one account, I can only imagine how devastating it is.
