People have been wanting a return of the Chao garden from sonic adventure this looks to fill that demand.
Still don't like it much, but this does look like Chao garden 2.0
Those are no ugly designs, but something about them is rubbing me the wrong way or how you say it.
Ed not knowing about the Chao Garden hurts me.
It does look good, but I do wish there was more creature diversity outside options for the base models. Maybe that'll be a future stretch goal.
Been waiting for a follow-up to the Chao Garden pretty much my entire life and now it's finally here but the twist being it's not from Sega but from Chadtronic and his new indie studio. Fate certainly works in mysterious ways. Backed it within the first hour of launch on the Early Bird tier which is likely sold out by now and even added some extras I wanted including beta access. Definitely hyped for this to come out.

Might just get in on this game. Just some feedback for the devs, not a fan of the main character, haven't looked into it at all so maybe there's options, otherwise doesn't matter, still a great price for early access right now

Why hasn't Sega given us a standalone Chao garden game? It is the most loved part of the dream/game Era sonic games
I'm interested in this, but Its pretty much 90% chao garden with a new coat of paint and character designs to avoid copyright issues.
Instead of running though levels in SA2 to get things to feed the chao you go around your island picking up bugs and stuff in this game.
I'm definitely backing this, a dedicated chao garden does seems like it could be fun.

that player model if absolutely horrible, like… mega YIKES.
Something about this has a classic xbox feel. Maybe Viva Piñata… but I think less specific than that… it just feels OG Xbox (but with modern graphics and high resolutions) I also mean besides the obvious influence of the Chao garden from the Sonic Adventure series.
Hey Ed, I commented on this before (I think) but you still have "Upcoming Monster Taming Games in 2022" linked in your description. IMO, that's a little outdated since it's the middle of 2023 now. Otherwise, thanks for showing off this kick starter. I will definitely give it a look!
People can have e.g. different colour eyes; in technical terms, you would say that this depends on the allele of the gene for eye colour that you have, but maybe they should have dumbed it down a little and just said that the appearance of the pogling child depends on the genes it inherits from its parents.

i feel like people might get Yooka-laylee levels of heightened expectations, in that people are just clamoring for something they remember really liking in the past but then when it comes out it might end up a dud like YL did

Gives me "open world Monster Rancher" vibes. With racing instead of battling…and no need to put a cd in to create your monster. Looks pretty good.
The game actually hasnt been in dev for 5 years instead just the concept has been,the youtuber has a video about it on their channel and the actual game started sometime in late 2021-early 2022 going off the video.
Played a phone game with that racing mechanic. Its just and idle wait for it to end type thing and whoever has the best stats win. The poglins themselves are pretty boring as its pretty much just a color change, nothing I would care to work on. Now the game will come down to the farming and fishing which I suspect will be as barebones as possible. I think the backers really only backed because they where hoping it would be better then it will be.
Take notes sonic and sega and wind waker is definitely my favourite Zelda game aswell
Ed pronouncing it "Keo garden" is actually pretty interesting to me if he thought Chao was a subset of Chaos (in Sonic lore, the Chao are directly related to Chaos)
Okay Ed I made a comment a year ago and a couple months ago about a DS game called Monster racers and I just noticed someone else commented about the same game on your last video I think it's time you check it out it's amazing game I got every single monster and legendary and a whole bunch of shiny variants it's an amazing game
