  1. What about for AI pilots? Presumably AI pilots on multi-player servers come in various skill levels just like those in single-player (Novice, Average, Veteran, Ace)? Can anyone shed light on the situational awareness ability of AI pilots at the various skill-levels? I imagine it could range from being totally oblivious to omniscient?

  2. Central, when I get set up it may be in the nursing home before I ever attempt MP…even so, I'm curious (or ignorant)…when I view your videos or that of other well known content creators of IL-2 and DCS…Is there a drastic difference between what "we" see being presented on YOU-TUBE vs what you and or others see during game or SIM time??? …Especially relating to clarity…I've read and heard discussions about an issue that I do not understand the specifics…only the generalities relating to I believe it's called compressibility…and or other limitations that may exist for videos being uploaded to YOUTUBE (if that made any sense at all)…For eample, I was just curious if viewing this video or especially your previous video in full screen mode on a 1440p, 31" Dell Gaming monitor…sometimes I have HDR enabed and sometimes not….I've never altered anything with the GPU or CPU either….Even so, when playing or "flying" the SIM will it differ visually from what your viewers see viewing your YouTube vids…. I realize my question is likely laughable to most….but due to the fact I'm older than probably 80-90% of you guys whih has afforded me the experience of not giving a rats rip what some anonymous person posting a smart A message thinks…hopefully no one would do that but if there is someone, before doing, just consider the fact I haven't "played" a video game since the original EA Sports Madden on my SEGA GENESIS in the 90s…& have never played a game or flight simmed on a PC…I share that personal insight to justify my ignorance…(doesn't work on the warden though…warden = my wife)

If appropriate to ask I'm curious If there is someone that would be willing to allocate 10-15 minutes with me for the sole purpose of pointing me in the correct direction or provide guidance, assist me with a handful of starting point items…Specifically, to assist me with expediting my HOTAS & rudder pedal set-up + a few other basics things… I realize time is money so perhaps could work something out although I'm not able to show appreciation like I could in the past…Regardless, I do not have any videos on "my channel" but believe my email does appears under ABOUT… I ask this due to most tutorials Ive viewed and guides I read begin with stepping over the part that is slowing me down…the set-up…most tutorials are so generic they really are not helpful or they begin with being inside the cockpit and the game running..I think I'll be ok once I am able to reach that point…and yes, I have read, reviewed the guides by CHUCK and others plus read, viewed, researched, studied, created charts, lamenated checklists, including digital ones on a few old ipads I have around plus viewed majority of the vids by the more established content creators…Even with all of that I find myself frustratingly frustrated….Another example, I understand what Discord is but have no clue how to interact on it with uncertainity concerning the when, how and or do's and don'ts as it relates to inquiring about specific topics…in fact, it may have been CENTRAL who posted a video about 6 months perhaps a year ago that discussed ettiquette…Anycase, I try to keep up and read as many threads as possible relevant to my challenges including on the official forums…However, most are 3-4-5 yrs old…the few I've found that discuss the dos and don ts of installation, location of files and sequence of set-ups are rapid fire & too generalized…perhaps I'm too far behind the curve because most seem to be created that the viewer is not entering from a time warp of 30yrs…other words, with the assumption the player already has more than an elementary knowledge of how to load, where to store files, what files can and can not be moved, etc To provide a glimpse into issues I am referring to…

With DCS for example…opening the program automatically renders full screen…Yet, I have no idea if 3rd party programs automatically link into the DCS program… programs such as head tracking, and Tac-View for example…should those be opened and engaged first…seeems the have to be…same for 3rd party VOIP /comms/radio programs or are they embedded within the main DCS folder somewhere once I download (which I already have) same for Discord, SRS, TeamSpeak, Voice Attack, LoATC (?)…and at some point would like to record so throw in OBS or NVIDIA Shadow play or whatever its called now….not to mention ios apps or DYI checklists, NAV AIDs, and user files…especially the kneeboards & note taking, etc…I have no idea if those programs be opened first or prior to opening the primary SIM & the official manuals do not addess… (I'm not asking for any answers here…more of suggestions or pointing me in the right direction…, these are type of question or issues I need clarity with and having hard time finding concise answers… By the way, I do have everything downloaded, installed including manuals, guides, etc & have printed most documents and organized in 2x 3 ring binders…probably a little overboard but I am approaching as I do when I start flying a new aircrft in real life…IThe binders are almost as thick as my old manual JEPPSEN Charts I dragged around with me for many years… I wouldn't ask if not for the fact I am too hesitant of messing something up…wasting peoples time… but Ive reached the point where I swallowed my pride as an old guy and finally asking If anyone has suggestion concerning those types of scenarios….

Last 2 things, when I initially looked into TACVIEW I had no idea there are 6-8 different versions or something… I have no idea if the Free version is a trial or if there is a version most people use…and finally, I've downloaded many user profiles for the type of HOTAS and rudder pedals I purchased (basic entry level TM T.16000M FCS Flight Pack) …yet, I'm not sure whether I should upload directly into the game or use auto/binding programs (if that is the correct verbiage) such as JOYTOKEY and a couple others…It seems the TM TARGET software program that TM recommends is not well accepted by IL2 or DCS communities…with each seemingly preferring and recommending setting up each button, etc through the SIM program itself (or is JoytoKEY and the like for that purpose???)…sometimes,…rephrase that…all the time I realize getting old sucks.

As always, I learn a lot from viewing your content and really appreciate you sharing. I hope I didn't step over any line by ranting about my ignorance getting out of the gate…If so, I apologize in advance…Take Care
