My books and videos are all grounded in what I actually do, I make sure you can see the evidence. For example if I suggest sowing carrots in November, take a look at my monthly tours to see them growing and my harvest videos for May to see the actual results. I’m not just about regurgitaing information from the backs of seed packets!

Just because all my resources are ‘free of charge’, to everyone, doesn’t mean they aren’t good quality. My objective is to make sure that there’s no need to be rich to get access to great gardening information. I do however have a lot of costs to cover and my time is valuable to me, so please consider supporting me at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/steverichards

  1. I potted some of mine on yesterday while waiting for space in beds. This is one of my most successful plants in NW Highlands. Last year's are just finishing up now as everything is late this year. No heatwave here!

  2. Nice Video steve. I’ve also planted some in my small backyard and have some for the allotment I’ve got claret and an early variety too. I need to keep up with succession planting to ensure my winter garden feeds us. Happy growing

  3. I started my purple sprouting broccoli in trays indoors in March. They went into the ground in May. We can get temperatures (zone 4 Canada) consistently in the -20s and -30s during the winter and the ground freezes down a good 3.5 feet. It looks like a great vegetable if it doesn't freeze to mush.

  4. Great vid as usual. Love purple sprouting broccoli, didn’t know different varieties mature at different times for a staggered harvest. Where do you buy your seeds?
On a different note why is your ebook free, I would buy it and a print copy if possible.
