North Carolina improved to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the ACC with a 42-24 win at home over Pitt. Redshirt freshman QB Drake Maye had another stellar game, setting career highs in passing attempts and completions (34-44). He had 384 passing yards, 5 touchdowns, and tacked on 61 rushing yards. WRs Antoine Green and Josh Downs caught 2 touchdowns each while respectively totaling 180 and 102 receiving yards. Panthers RB Izzy Abanikanda ran the ball well yet again, picking up 127 yards and 3 touchdowns.
