Over the past four years, pickleball has suddenly become the fastest growing sport in America, with nearly five million people playing the game. CBS News correspondent Dana Jacobson takes a look at why the sport has gained recent national attention.

  1. What you’re not understanding is that you don’t have to have a partner you just go down to the courts and put your paddle in line. The games are like 10-15 min. Then you go on the side and wait and socialize with your new friends ! That’s the best part to me ! We had a 91 year old show up yesterday day and we all enjoyed a game with him ! 91 !

  2. I'm a tennis player but I totally love seeing everyone be able to enjoy a racket sport. It is true that once you develop an obsession with the sport you can't imagine life without it. I'm glad everyone can have that feeling

  3. The sport is fine but some players need to be more considerate of other groups around. Some groups would play songs on a portable speaker and even singing along with it; putting foldable chairs on the sides between courts that got in the way of other groups; or chatting endlessly about their daily lives. It's hard to enjoy and concentrate the game with those kind of groups near you.
