  2. Kuta beach in Bali is dirty and full of Aussie drunkards at night. I hope Siargao will not aim to be another Bali.
    Bali is too commercialized and touristy. It’s not cheap also.

  21. It is cheap to keep making the Philippines sound like it needs to ride on the Bali wave. The fact that Bali is the constant reference on means eternal superiority over something that relies on social media hyperbole and insincerity. The Philippines will never be like Bali, because becoming Bali is not about increasing tourist arrivals, especially if 97% of tourist are just motivated to launch a vlog or horde subscribers who are famished for validation.
