According to recently released satellite imagery, the Philippines’ first BrahMos anti-ship missile base is taking shape at a naval installation facing the South China Sea.
Manila’s order of the Indian supersonic cruise missiles in 2022 marked a significant milestone in its defense modernization program that aimed to modernize the country’s outdated military amid regional disputes with China. Procured under the Philippine Navy’s Shore-Based Anti-Ship Missile Acquisition Project, the $375 million sale earmarked three batteries of BrahMos missiles and technical support for the system to the Philippine Marine Corps Coastal Defense Regiment. The purchase also marked the first international sale of New Delhi’s missile system, reportedly sparking more international interest in the system by countries in the region such as Vietnam and Indonesia.
Naval News has identified the construction of a BrahMos site at Philippine Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in Zambales on the coast of Western Luzon. Photographs reveal a new base being constructed south of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy on a plot of land previously used as an area for amphibious assault and coastal defense training by the country’s armed forces. The only other structure in the area before the beginning of construction was a shed meant to store a few Marine amphibious assault vehicles.

If china being friendly to ours filipino we have no problem but they choose the hard way.
A former Adviser to the US State Department said this: "Without C4ISR, Philippines’ BrahMos Missiles are “Symbolic, Lacking Operational Use.” "
Someone tell us if brahmos or any other missiles do not get expired as time goes by? We might not use it for the longest time if the the target change its course and decided to choose a friendly path
√√√ Additional Brahmos Missile Launchers as DECOYS or DUMMIES.
I'd like to suggest to our Philippine Marines to study the matter of procuring additional Brahmos launchers to function as "DECOYS or DUMMIES."
These decoys are the actual Brahmos missile launchers(TEL's) "without any missiles inside the launch canisters"(Zero Brahmos missiles) & a dummy/non-working radar too.
This is aimed to deceive or fool "ANY" potential invader into thinking that they are targeting & attacking the real Brahmos launchers, where in fact they MAYBE targeting/attacking a "perfectly working/functioning DECOY," really aimed at confusing the enemy, ever making him guess the "real from the fake, ones," which could allow/give time for some of our "true Brahmos launchers to retreat to a more secured or safer location, away from the place of attack, (conflict scenario/Airstrikes, Ballistic Missile strikes, UCAVs strikes, etc.) and they wouldn't be "wiped out"during an initial attack, coz some of the other real Brahmos launchers are also to be hidden inside a secured compound, which could increase their chances of survivability greatly.
Based on the info given by the Indian company Brahmos Aerospace Ltd., there are 3 or more launchers per battery,(PH ordered 3 batteries) that would give us a number of between 24 to maybe 36 Brahmos launchers. (just an estimate, as the actual figure is classified)
Say if we order an additional 40 to 60 "DECOY LAUNCHERS," priced between, lets say $ 400K to $ 600K/ decoy launcher,(estimate only, actual cost maybe higher) that would give us a total cost of between a minimum of $ 16 Million dollars to a maximum of about $ 36 Million dollars in total, so it's not that expensive. This thing MAY actually work in a real conflict scenario.

Bakit kc tinatawag mo soutchina sea? Kung sa pilipinas yan? Dapat WEST PHILIPPINE SEA!!
I would rather use a mobile launcher for the missiles instead of a fixed land base subject to precision attack by enemy missiles or bombs. Mobile launchers are constantly moving from one location to another which is hard to pinpoint.
PH BRAHMOS POINTING AT CHINA ….WHERE ELSE YOU ARE GOING TO POINT IT EVERY WHERE AROUND PH IS A FRIEND OR NEUTRAL …. LOL HE HE HE HE
China has an installed missile system in the phils' doorstep Spratly Islands.
Kailangan maraming Brahmos missiles para sa maraming barko ng kalaban, pero they will cost so much.
Prefer ko ang mga mobile Typhon missile systems, tomahawk missiles, HIMARS, at long range dark eagle hypersonic missiles na aabot hanggang Three Gorges dam.
Need this Brahmos in Palawan and Pag-asa island
Laughable!
Useless 😢😂
