Phil Donohue, this is what a real Christian looks like. God rest his dear soul.
Who was more annoying than Phil who was the biggest grandstander.
donahue was pure cringe…couldnt stand the guy
"Mommy, it's a puppy!" I laughed so hard. Phil Donahue was such a wonderful human being. He changed the world of broadcasting for the so much better. He showed class, sensitivity, understanding, kindness, and humanity. Phil will be sorely missed. Please keep Marlo in your thoughts.
I gotta say Bravo to his parents his upbringing what a GEM Of a man !! I am so happy I got to watch his shows every chance I got, RIP Phil you were a pioneer and as I said A gem of a human being !
While I wasn't a daily viewer, I can honestly say Phil Donahue saved my life. In 1986, I just happened to catch his show about gay men who had married women, started families and then came out later. Yep, I was in that situation and watching this episode gave me a feeling of hope. Here's the title: "Phil Donahue 1986 coming out as gay to a heterosexual spouse and children."
One of a kind .. RIP, Condolences ..
05:05 The TURP procedure! The recovery was horrible. Had to go to the ER three times in two days. The catheter kept getting clogged up.
Ralph Nader has a lovely tribute to Phil Donahue on his ralph nader radio hour show
ANOTHER MISLABELED TITLE
Letterman turned into a total repulsive angry idiot kinda like DeNiro is now. Jon Voight is my hero!
Donahue was pretty annoying himself. A left-wing loon if there ever was one
Not worth the listen.
Phil’s show had to be cancelled because he could no longer compete with the brainless sewage being spewed by the likes of Jerry Springer, Wally George, and the king of sickening vanity: Geraldo Rivera.
Phil’s show was the only talk show that I found interesting as a late teen, and then it was gone — replaced with that mindless garbage.
My 2 fav TV personalities of the 20th Century. This was such a good memory and tribute to Phil. RIP Mr Donohue
Phil was the most annoying
Crazy how Dr. Ruth and Phil passed the same week.
I only wish God made more people like Phil Donahue, such a classy, gentle, human being. RIP!
My favorite Donahue episode was Phil Hartman on SNL.
Loved skipping school watchin Phil!
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I became the man I’ve become due to the day-by-day enlightenment offered by Mr. Donohue and his staff. Thank you, Phil.
What year was this and Phil Donahue became a proud outspoken feminist thanks to his wife actress Marlo Thomas who had been a proud outspoken feminist since the early 1970's.
And he was a single father for several years bringing up his four sons but his daughter lived with his ex wife.
Was this in 1984 because I think that's when he came to New York.
We need more Phil s
I didn't realize how funny he was!!
Why not him being the most annoying?
Phil Donahue- such a class act!
A great talk show host….I loved his show. Excellent all around.
RIP Phil. Watched you for years.
They fired Phil and gave us Oprah. SMH.
A lovely human being ❤. RIP
best interviewer ever
Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand on the Donahue Show was absolutely awesome. The crowd had no idea how to respond to them. LOL!
Click-bate title. What a waste of time.
As a child I was sick a lot and my Mom watched this show. We only had one TV so I ended up watching starting in first grade. I always liked him. Rest in Peace, Phil. No one was as good as you.
Great guy……❤
I loved Donahue. His voice was so memorable. And I enjoyed how he would run through his audience with the microphone.
They both were on local TV in the Cincinnati area back in the day. I remember the episode when the little boy says "puppies" during the delivery.
14:25 Hah!
God Bless you Phil for the years we spent together! You on tv and me making an hour to watch your show. For years and years. Margo 🫶🏼✅
Too bad they ended his career when he opposed the Iraq war.
RIP Phil, for all of us who watched your show, grew up watching, you were so much fun to watch… as this clip showed, a true gentleman! Marlo, We are so sad for your loss! – Thank you David for posting this!
That was a great interview! RIP, Phil.
The best of the best❤
Loved his show ❤
Phil was such a nice guy, and it's refreshing to see Dave as a younger, less bitter guy. (Love ya Dave)
