  1. They should put a limit on the amount of gambling losses annually, 100K, 1M, and you have to go through someone who will report it. You go over your limit or someone who is not reporting, it is a violation.

  2. Here’s my question, what gambling policy applies to NFL owners?
Can they gamble on college basketball or do they fall under the non-player policy?
Do they have to place bets away from the facility, & is the private plane or yacht considered the facility if they run their draft from their yacht or have the team logo painted on their private jet?

  3. I wonder, would it help RB salaries, if their salaries after their rookie contracts were made exempt from counting towards the salary cap, just as long as they line up as a RB 90% on the snaps they play?
Would teams pay veterans more, if it didn’t count against the cap, instead of replacing them with cheaper rookies who do count against the cap?

That could be the least intrusive way to solve the issue?

  4. There's no contract situation to "remedy" for Mahomes. I will personally bet Florio $1M there is no new contract for Mahomes by week 1. Doubt he wants that action, and he won't put his money where his mouth is. This entire thing is just a pointless crusade. Neither Mahomes nor the Chiefs thinks it makes them "look bad." Quite the opposite – it makes them look 1000x smarter than every other team out there to have the best QB in football on the current deal and neither side is in a hurry to restructure. Either come with some real evidence or STFU about it.

  5. Lol. If you could manipulate Mahomes into taking more money than he's decided he needs by suggesting he looks like a sucker…he really would be a sucker. 😂🤣

  6. No, PM not having a new deal is an issue because Mike doesn't like to look wrong (a major peev of his) if Mahomes doesn't get a new deal. What Florio doesn't understand or chooses to ignore is that PM likely sees other QBs making more than him as a COMPETIVE ADVANTAGE. He's set AND by being a perennial winner, he knows he will make far more in endorsements to offset whatever some lesser QB would make with a higher salary/cap hit. Mahomes WELCOMES his contemporaries making more than him.

  7. I feel so terrible for PM2. He's so woefully underpaid. Ever think that your mindset is wrong, Mike? I often hear you speak of players contracts, owner's obligations, stadium rights, but I can't remember you ever sticking up for the fans who have to pay thousands for season tickets, $30+ for parking, $14 for a beer, $8 for a dog, and then get asked by the owners to use our tax dollars for them to build a stadium that they get all the revenue for. We the fans keep getting the short end of the stick, much like congress, Wall St, SCOTUS, etc….why don't you stand up for the little guy once and a while and cry foul?

  8. Patrick Mahomes will get a new contract when his current deal nears it's conclusion, why in their right might would the Cheifs throw away their fantastic cap situation in the hard cap league where the competition is so compeitive, if Mahomes doesn't like it then it shouldn't have signed it.

  9. All these chiefs fans in the comments defending Mahomes contract make me laugh 😂 even if they don’t restructure the contract this year, you really think the best player in pro football (by a good margin) is going to sit around and be happy making less than 10+ guys who are way worse than him? These are elite pro athletes with egos about their abilities/skill you can’t imagine. Mahomes playing the rest of his deal at the current yearly salary is outrageous, please keep thinking that’s what will happen lmaoooo

  10. He's just flat wrong about Mahomes. It's not going to happen, because Mahomes doesn't really CARE about it happening. Why on EARTH would he publicly say the things he's said if they weren't true?? And more than that, why is it so hard for anyone (this guy in particular) to understand?? Mahomes is in almost EVERY commercial!! He's made excellent investments, and he's still paid VERY handsomely by the Chiefs. On what PLANET would it make sense for him to make nominally more via one of his MANY sources of income when it will inevitably mean he spends the rest of his career NOT winning rings because of the no-names around him? He doesn't want to be Aaron Rodgers, who won one ring and will never get there again.

  11. commercial drivers can't smoke pot. that's the rule. get caught, lose your commercial privelege. pro sports, easy, no gambling or peds. simple. they make a lot of money to refrain.

  14. Patrick makes plenty of money off the field combined with his NFL contract in endorsements and his business ventures. I do however think that he will get an extension in 2027, possibly another 5 years for 1 billion dollars. He’s happy where he is at right now financially the man is after SB rings. The organization will probably bump him up to keep him in the top 5 financially somewhere down the road.

  15. The AFC being so superior to the NFC is a tired narrative to me…yes the AFC has better QBs, but the NFC has teams that are either better coached or better rosters overall. Mahomes and maybe Lamar are the only QBs that can singularly lift their team so stop pretending every AFC QB is Peyton Manning 🥴

  16. The Chiefs don't need too jump too renegotiate Mahomes contract every time other teams choose to over spend for players. The AFC West pumped over a BILLION DOLLARS into the division just to compete with Mahomes. And the Chiefs still went 6-0 in the AFC West starting 11 first year rookies.

I believe some teams over pay some positions to run up the market like the Tyreek Hill situation at $30mill per year just too stick it to the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are doing it the right way through the draft and low cost FA. So no they shouldn't be worried about how Mahomes contract looks to the media….because they're winning 🏆🏆

  17. Florio, we are very tired of your continual dead end rant on Mahomes not being paid enough. He is a grown man and can make his own decisions. Its very simple. Talent can equal rings. Rings equals legacy. Legacy equals money. It sounds like you want the NFL to be like the YMCA and hand out participation salary deals (medals) to all who play. Oh, here is your paycheck. Thanks for playing!! No, this is a grown mans sport where grown men do what is best for them. I thought the idea of playing this game is to be the SB champs. If u want all the bucks, then take it. If you want all the rings, then take it!! Enough said, move on to the next topic in your life!! Please!!
