Petrol prices ‘way higher’ under Labor than when they were in opposition

Sky News host Paul Murray says petrol is expected to rise as indexation kicks in, with the new tax hitting 49.6 cents per litre.

“Tomorrow, petrol is going to be more expensive, but it is already bloody expensive tonight,” Mr Murray said.

“The average price for petrol around the country right now, well, $2.19.

“You can add more than a cent to all of that tomorrow.

“This is way higher than when Anthony Albanese was whinging about $1.79 when he was the opposition leader.”

  1. Yet the indoctrinated city voters that live in the suburbs and complain about petrol prices will still vote for the same clowns back in!! Look what will happen in the frankston by election people will still vote for Labor or the greens because they don't know any better.

  2. I wish people would wake the F up. This is another pathetic attempt to push people out of ICE's. There is no way petrol should be costing this much. F elections, get rid of this bastard NOW.

  3. If people believe fuel will be $1,000 per annum cheaper in a few years they are dumb, stupid and brainwashed by Albo & Bowen. Nobody who needs help with fuel costs will be able to afford a new car and therefore be stuck with Labours over taxed fuel prices.

  4. They both supported covid lockdowns and forced injections of mRNA genetic therapy, they both support replacement migration, they both want house prices to go up ad infinitum, who cares at this point. They both play for the same team on the important issues. I don't care about saving $20 a month, it's just kabuki, I care that I can't afford $800,000 – $1,000,000 for somewhere to live, and that the places could afford to live are filled with people who don't share my culture living in swamps. Everyone who took the jab and let them lock us down for 2 years caused this. Just wait until we get 12% interest rates on $1,000,000 loans… it's coming!

  5. fuel tax + gst is the worst thing in this country, it drives the price of everything up, and slows the economy down at the same time. Oh well if this keeps going more and more people will vote them out.

  6. Bowen is a absolute nut case..never had a job..living like a tick, off the blood of working Australians..the country hasn't got the infrastructure to support their pipe dream of electric cars..have a show of hands all greens and Labor supporters can have electric cars powered off the electricity grid and all federal and state Labor governments electric cars only..what a fantasy land we live in.

  8. on all the major issues labor and liberal are the same party. Australians think they have democracy and choice. Reality is they choose between 2 very similar partries who do not serve the peoples interests over and over again

  9. How else do you expect Labor to pay for these tax cuts for low income earners than to take the money from Australian first then give them back less than they give then take it away the following year
Tax cuts more like a glorified government fund-raiser for them to just hand you back 1/2 of your own money that you gave them originally 😅
