Just stunning!
What turnouts are being used? I dont recognise them as Peco.
Very interesting insights into a big project. Keep it up lads π
Interesting thanks
Looks great canβt wait to see it at Milton Keynes later in the yearπ
Fantastic amount of work going on! Great attention to detail while keeping the overall picture in mind.
yes please Dave id love to see the whole video please
Thanks for these videos, amazing what is being done here on such a large scale. makes my 9' wide N-Gauge layout look minute.
Another great video update with Pete and his team. It would be great to see the whole chat with him.
These videos are excellent please can we have somemore. The skills and the detail are outstanding,
A modern real-to-life station and layout, every modern image oo gauge modellers dream. So excited to see it at Chester Cathedral. Can't wait!
Please Sir , may I have more ?
please show the whole video
Always good to hear Pete – so more would be doubly good π
Absolutely FASCINATING watching and following this, the combined skills and camaraderie of the team is quite something.
Always love to hear what Pete has to say. Enjoyed this update immensely. As I will never be able to actually see it for real, this is the next best thing. π
yes please, more chat
Great video. Not happy to see MDF being sawn without at least a face mask! MDF dust is very carcInogenic.
Could listen to Pete all day…brilliant stuff
Absolutely INCREDIBLE !!!!. The planning and work that goes into this….mind-boggling !!!!. Is EVERY single piece of track going to be soldered with dropper wires ????
The more Pete comments and chat the better. Learning so much and as I know MK well Iβm really intrigued with the accurate detail. Itβs fantastic.
Another great video of Pete and team. I'm so impressive how the layout is looking. Will there be more modelling tips.
Great video Dave the layout is realy coming together now I can not wait to July 2023 and a trip to Chester to see Making Tracks III. I would love to see the whole chat with Pete Waterman please.
Superb, massive thanks to all involved. I wonder how long in scale the layout is? A OO scale mile is approximately 70 feet? My maths is terrible!
Morning Dave. Itβs absolutely fantastic that youβre recording and documenting this awesome railway build ππ» Pete has put a really skilful team together with the same enthusiasm as Pete about railways π Looking forward to seeing this layout in Chester ππ»
Pete it's JUST BRILLIANT π
Enjoyed that. Thks Gents.
Has anyone got the actual dates that this will be on display in Chester please as I'm trying to arrange a weekend there
I used to work in the building along side the station when it was Stone and Webster Engineering 1986 to 1993, so know this area well.
Hopefully Mrs Simms will be able to clean the windows.
Thank you for all your videos on making tracks 3. Loving every one of them and seeing the progress! Can't wait for the next update π I would love to see the whole 40 minutes chat with Pete and yourself. Thank you again for these videos πππΌ
Would love to see the whole chat with Pete please. I am learning so much from these videos and fascinating to see the build progress. Perhaps when Making Tracks 3 is finished he could do a "how to" modelling series on YouTube?
If you're looking for fine mesh for the catenary system, consider computer ribbon cable, similar to the kind they used for floppy disks. Most of that cable was just conductors but there was also a version with a mesh shield bvuried in the insulation. Split the insulation and you will expose it, very fine copper mesh.
Brilliant stuff and now seriously planning a trip to Chester with the Mrs (who also wants to see this) in August.
