Cinnamon is a good remedy to rid yourself of ants
Hi Jag – re cabbage worms/caterpillars. Timely prevention is better than cure if you have the time, & not an enormous plot of cabbages: check DAILY the underside of all cabbage leaves & squash (with wet soapy fingers if you are squeamish) the clusters of yellow eggs that the butterflies lay (mostly) under the leaves. It worked for me last year when there were tons of cabbage white butterflies around. Google if you want to see what the eggs look like.
Thanks for a great video! Clear, concise, and practical, easy to use aids for organic farming!
What about mealybugs? Iβve been using diatomaceous earth but itβs not doing the job.
Thank you but how about grasshoppers???
Your absolutely the best on YouTube. Thanks for all your knowledge.

Neem oil is great but what about aphids on milkweed?
I spray/mist brewed coffee on aphids and they're dead within a day. (1 part brewed coffee to 1 part water) Caffeine is a toxin to most bugs. I promise it works and does not damage your plants. And spray in morning or evenings. Not in direct sun. I also sprinkle used coffee grounds on the top of the soil.
The secrets are out! Thanks for sharing. Be safe.
Very informative. Thanks so much
I wonder do it work on flies around your dogs
Love your comprehensive videos. I really needed some of these tips. Thanks
Good stuff partner
Any advice on getting rid of thrips?
Catch the criminal in action π
Great Video Jag! Its So Important that people stop Polluting the Earth with Toxic Forever Chemicals that are Destroying our Planet and our Health!!
Great advice.
Arsenic is organic. Many of the truly horrific poisons are organic—ricin is from beans you have probably eaten. and another is in Tomato plants although its nature rarely bothers humans. Water is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H2O. It is a transparent, tasteless, odorless,[c] and nearly colorless CHEMICAL substance (wikipedia)
Some great pesticides are made from using the CHEMICALS found in wormwood and garlic.
Chemicals are not necessarily bad and organic is not necessarily good. However, NATURAL is usually better than synthetic and focused (narrow spectrum–used effectively for purpose) is much better that Broad spectrum repetitive use.
Neem oil in zone 9-10 is a disaster for the plant. Anyone in zone 8 and warmer need to do a test on one plant only and treat in the evening.
Listen jag some of these people's requesting a tour , some wants to get to know you if you know what I mean. I told my friend you are MARRIED πππππ Many blessings
In thought that grubworm was good as a thriving plant had it in the soil, I put it in my small mango tree and it died. Itβs either that or the sudden winter that killed my plants
Loved this video so much I had to come back and put some time-stamps because I know I'll be reviewing this often. π THANK YOU!!!
1:04 Soft body insects/aphids, white flies, spider mites (organic cold pressed neem oil and soap spray 1TBsp Neem oil + 1Tbsp Castile soap to 1 gallon water. (or 2Tbsp if using only Castile or only been oil). Can also use the help of ladybugs and lace wings.
3:06 Ants (diatomaceous earth and cornmeal)
4:20 Beetles and stink bugs (diatomaceous earth on top and around pants, vacuum cleaner with diatomaceous earth inside it)
5:15 Grub worms (feed to chickens or use cornmeal in garden or bury pockets of cornmeal in garden)
5:46 Cabbage worms and caterpillars (check underside of leaves – Thuricide BT Caterpillar Control Spray or Spinosad Spray)
8:12 When to spray
8:32 Birds (Hawk decoy – move it around often)
9:41 Earwigs ( they are nocturnal and hide well – use iron phosphate granules, or spray plants eucalyptus oil)
10:55 Snails and slugs (crushed eggshells deter them but does not get rid of them. Use dab of oil on paper towel and swipe inside of plastic cup, bury cup, pour beer or active dry yeast mixture in cup. Can also use iron phosphate)
13:15 Powdery mildew, aphids, white flies, spider mites ( Spoiled milk as folier spray)
13:50 Encourage the population of beneficial insects (ladybugs and lace wings)
I refuse to use pesticides. Thank you.
