Performance: Slam Poetry | Ridhi Bhutani & Utkarsh Tripathi | TEDxMirandaHouse



This duet slam poetry performance is a captivating exchange of words and emotions, where two voices can be heard, intertwining to create a symphony of thoughts and feelings. Utkarsh and Ridhi share their unique perspective on love, and the way they use mundane everyday examples to explain what love is, is truly heart touching. The two feed off each other’s energy, seamlessly building upon each other’s verses. Their synergy and buzzing aura creates a powerful dynamic that elevates the impact of their message, leaving a lasting impression of the power of love, and the message they intended to deliver. A former literature graduate from University of Delhi, Ridhi is a writer, performer, social worker and an educator. Her work has appeared in magazines like The Pangolin Review, Houseguest Gallery Louisville and, The Wire amongst others. She has also performed for platforms like Radio Mirchi, Kommuneity and Poetry Darbaar. Formerly, she has worked as a Poetry/Prose Reader at The Athena Review Magazine, USA. She has conducted poetry workshops for institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and University of Delhi among others. She has won accolades in various collegiate poetry slams in and around Delhi.

Utkarsh is a Delhi based spoken word artist who has been performing and competing in the circuit for more than 4 years. His art begs to be more than just snippets of his blue days and transcend to be revolutionary poems. Utkarsh is also a part of Delhi based artist collective, Soulstuff. He has been a featured performer across India and has won many collegiate level slams including BITS Hyderabad National slam, Jesus and Marry college annual slam, SGTB Khalsa annual slam and more.
