Pentagon calls Turkish drone shot down in Syria by US forces a 'regrettable incident'

The Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder said a Turkish drone was shot down in Syria by the US in ‘self defence’ but there was no indication that Turkey was intentionally targeting US forces. It is the first time Washington has brought down an aircraft of NATO ally Turkey and marks a rare use of force by one NATO member against another.

  2. As a Turkish I am with US. The Erdogan regime is very arrogant and dictatorial. It is a dishonorable neo-Ottomanist regime that does not recognize any international law. Someone has to put this regime in its place.

  3. If you have an ally like the USA, you don't need enemies. The United States openly supports terrorism and attacked its ally to protect terrorists. This cannot go unanswered, there will be retaliation against a US aircraft.

  4. The drone was over U.S special operation soil and the Turks had been attacking Kurdish civilians and soldiers with those drones all the time, bout time the U.S shot something down.
