I agree this is serious. But I don't agree that someone wouldn't lie like this to impress a date. I have heard policeman exaggerate things they have done that shouldn't be considered impressive, because they think the audience would be impressed by it. Even showing off ways they have broken the law themselves. All to impress. The way he speaks here implies that Phizer possesses both the resources and the experience that would enable them to do exactly that research – Walker here acts like that would be an easy thing for his company to do.
And then that's followed up shortly with "there'd better not be any more outbreaks…" Any MORE outbreaks. MORE. Almost implies maybe his company was involved in a PREVIOUS outbreak…
I don't know.. Maybe that's a stretch. But his language throughout reveals more than he's saying on the surface, which is already repugnant enough.

We all have the luxury of critiquing somebody else's performance on a job we know nothing about. We are all judging how she handled the call in HINDSIGHT!!!! , Meaning, we already know the plot to the scene "so to speak". 911 operators get all kind of crazy calls from wackos and nutjobs (not to mention PRANK calls) on a regular basis, so they need some time to assess who is on the other end, and what is actually going on. I don't think this woman handled this PERFECTLY, but it is unfair to paint her as an idiot.

The 911 operator was not actively listening or very discerning, at least not initially. She failed to pick up on numerous verbal/narrative cues while speaking over Pelosi a few times, failed to recognize the high-profile Pelosi name & the significance of the Capitol Police request, & failed to express her understanding of the situation in any way to Pelosi. It seems she finally recognized Pelosi's plea for help & did subsequently dispatch police to the house. However, based upon the officers' casual behavior approaching the residence (likely evidence of their incompetence, as well), it doesn't seem like they were well advised.
