  1. seems like everyone jumped on the space theme, and base building theme this year. No more survival open world games or battle passes loot boxes?! FINALLY. but yeah tons of space games.

  2. I know this is gonna fall on deaf ears like every year but PC Gamer, guys, you have to change the format of this presentation ASAP. It's doing a disservice to the games you showcase, making people relate the feelings of fatigue and lukewarm reception to them, instead of hype. And sorry but this has always been the worst presentation of SGF without a shadow of doubt.

You're showing too much games and the trailers are too long and dragged out, making people feel fatigued by the presentation by the third or fourth game out of dozens. You DESPERATELY need to ask the devs to send short 30-60 sec trailers that could flow well in a batch of three or four games and that showcase both the main stand out points of the game in cinematic format, and a bit of gameplay. Not the dragged out trash you allow them to send every year.

And the hosts are fine, but you have to get better writers because those jokes are not landing… AT ALL. And please drastically reduce the intermission bits both in time and frequency. Every time there's an intermission I lose interest in the next game because I'm already annoyed by the bit and the unnatural writing.

You could have the best indie showcase of SGF, with hosts having a casual conversation, bouncing off of each other, and having lots of indies and a couple heavy hitters to showcase in an effective and hype-inducing manner. Instead you're making a tiring and cringy show that people have to SUFFER through instead of enjoy.
