  3. I've got a couple dozen hours in this DLC, and I have to say my favorite run by far had the Paladin variant that loses spellcasting for an aura. There was some ridiculously good loot, and my saves were through the roof. Once you get into it, this mode gets a lot more fun. My first couple of runs were similar to yours, absolute slogs. I managed to finish my first one by creating an Archeologist Bard as my second team member. She covered all skill checks, did okay ranged damage, and literally only used her spell slots for healing. It left me free to min/max the others in my party and ignore support entirely.
