Oh, the pain!
So even though I have pateron I also have to sign up on YouTube?
How are you liking Pathfinder so far?
Favorite use of repeating a spell during exploration: inspire courage
Wow dude, six hours of gameplay?! Sweet! I wish I could dm for that long
There is an item in PF2e called Silversheen that costs 6gp and allows you to coat weapons in silver for 1 hour so they count as silver. That said I don't think the lack of silver was what got you guys, it was the whole healing situation.
I think what I liked the most about this was everyone having the same conversations my 5e table learning pf2e had. It was reassuring.
4:56:40 thr Knockdown monster ability needs to spend an Action to get the target prone. Improved Knockdown makes the target go prone for free.
In the video he had with PF2E co editor, DM explained that he was adjusting the difficulty of the fights on the fly given how the group was stomping over everything. In the end they ended up not healing and not resting into these more and more powerfull fights, which was their doom. But from the Paizo guy's mouth, they did very well and were very lucky to get that far before running into trouble.
Hero point are reset to 1 at the start of a new session. So if you ended a session with 3 hero points, you have 1 hp
If you had 0 hero points at the end of a season you get 1 at the start of the new sesson
Yeah. While having medicine and healer's tools are not necessary.it's heavily suggested at least one character to have boh for new parties
So let’s see. One party member sickened 1 (-1 on all checks and DCs, including AC) and one party member at Wounded 1 (although they did have the die hard feat which canceled it out) and pushing on as resources (healing at that) were diminished TPK was pretty inevitable given those conditions. One thing to remember in PF2e is the 3 action economy. Every creature has them Party and Opponents. Once a PC goes down it gets to be a matter of actions outnumbering the party. All in the learning process.
Also I know this is a learning curve but if a target has “cover” that is a circumstance bonus, the rogue’s “Nimble Dodge” feat is also a circumstance bonus (as is a raised shield) and they do not stack. Only the highest number counts. It is imperative that players try and achieve circumstance+item+status bonuses to their rolls as those would all stack.
If you’re going to have a tpk then the best time is when you guys had it here. With a new system that everyone is onboard to learn and have fun with….not to mention that IMHO a system with teeth that isn’t easy and requires thoughtful playing is far more entertaining. And everyone it seems liked that and understood there was simply a learning curve. So how are you all recording this? I saw the microphone hanging over the table, but what records it?
I think in my opinion. Next time you should get the other camera angle. This angle is too far i can't see the map, and figs So i feel like I'm not get into the game but i would like to watch you guys play more so if you can move the camera closer i would be appreciated. Hope to get more into the game next time. Thank you! ✨
Wow this is amazing better than real life
Luke finally did what he failed to do in all curse of strahd.
2:25:00 I see luke is using the bestiary battle cards.
Good buy.
They are awesome.
I did multiple videos on them.
I think the alchemist was losing actions on his turn. 1 action to draw a bomb, 1 action to strike. OR 1 action to quick alchemy and 1 action to strike or use, which includes pouring an antidote into the mouth of an adjacent ally.
There is also the retch action that allows you to attempt to get rid of the sickened condition for an action. Sickened through disease might not be able to be removed but other sickened conditions should be able to be removed.
I enjoy your group and followed after seeing you in rules lawyers videos. Just offering some help from a 2e vet. Also, demoralize is really good. Charisma based characters can really lean into intimidate skill.
