I absolutely adore that you keep an open mind towards this and allow we worshipers the latitude to enjoy the music for the sake of it's appeal. God bless.
It's so crazy…..I'm a huge fan of Grata van Fleet and that voice…..absolutely the only band I can say that if I had that amazing voice I would sing the songs exactly like that…I say not that I would be just as good….hell no!….but that Grata van Fleet, with her songs, speaks directly to my heart. for me, the best band of all times
The lead singer and lead guitarist are identical twins. Josh became lead singer because he has such power in his voice. I wonder if his twin can sing as well? If not maybe he could train and they could split into two bands performing simultaneously. From a revenue standpoint they could double they pay day and increase record sales.
It's killing me how folks are saying this is a religious (Christian) song. 😅 It's a cautionary tale about blind allegiance to a cult-like leader. The lyrics: "blow it up to give him all of our love" is a reference to David Koresh and the Branch Davidians. The band itself says it's a chaotic comedy with tragic results.
I'm 60 years old and grew up listening to all the classic rock bands The Beatles,Led Zeppelin,The Who,The Rolling Stones,Jimi Hendrix Experience and Jimi Hendrix and The Band Of Gypsys. And I love Greta Van Fleet.Their music definitely brings me back to my youth of the mid to late 1970s.❤❤❤❤❤
I don’t care what anyone says… this band has been *greatly* influenced by Led Zeppelin. The boys in the band can even deny it. Their sound, their dress, the lead singer’s voice, this video… all Led Zeppelin. I am also hearing, Geddy Lee, from Rush as well. I love Greta Van Fleet and their sound is great… but their style & sound has all been done some 54 + years ago by one of the greatest rock bands in history, Led Zeppelin. It’s awesome these young men are bringing this style of rock back. This is what I grew up on in my teenage years.
Esoteric- in his quote. He came out as homosexual recently and while they are technically proficient they do not at all resemble Christianity in any form. Probably sold his soul to the same as most in the industry. Burning an effigy of the crown of thorns is also saying something likely not Christian. He looks possessed at the end clearly. Creativity- the spirit behind this is certainly not Christian and that is obvious. No one is arguing their skill.
Be careful my fellow believers. Many of the elect will be deceived by a one world religion in the end of days. "The beast" will deceive many. Read your Bibles. Spread the gospel. Be ready at a moments notice. Jesus loves you.
This song specifically at the end says "blow it up, to give him all of our love" which sounds more like they are making fun of Muslims with his facial expressions and such. They also said it was a "dark comedy" which means they are making fun of something. Very interesting for sure.
Can somebody help me? In the beginning of this vid, she talks about the journey GVF goes on through the albums (pertaining to the artwork across albums, as well as the songs). Does anybody know of a video, article, or anything else that deep dives into that detailed stuff for GVF? Would love to watch/read. I’d watch a 10 hour documentary on these guys if it existed!
“These guys get into me as much as I get into them, it seems. It’s like a symbiotic, organic, dynamic relationship, the way I’ve evolved in my understanding of these guys and their music.”
I heard someone say this while listening to GVF and I found it to be an incredibly well put explanation of how this band and their music weaves itself deep into you and the emotional/spiritual impact it has on the soul. What beautiful music!!
For music that is totally secularism there’s definitely like the old music of the 60s 70s and 80s. I just hope that their master is not Satan. I wish it was Jesus. Then you would know it was Christian. I don’t know what kind of pastor is speaking in this program. But he never talks about Jesus and the importance of following Jesus. Jesus is the truth, the way in the life, and the only way to heaven is through him and following his commandments.
something that I've pieced together with this music video is that mostly the primary colors are red, white, and black. The Book of Revelation says, "And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he sat thereon had a bow; and there was given unto him a crown: and he came forth conquering,"(Rev. 6:2). with this verse alone, you can make many connections to the video(the repeating bows, the repeating white horse seen, and the woman's crown which seems to only be worn at certain times). Further on in Revelation, more horses come forward but this time in the colors RED and BLACK as well as a "pale horse" whose name was Death. There are so many other connections in the Book of Revelation but something that also stuck out to me is that the "Blow it up/to give him/all of our love," part is the same chord progression as the one used in Revelation song by Kari Jobe. Not sure if all of this is a bit of a stretch but I think it is so interesting how everything speaks to each other. what do you guys think?
Josh just came out in support of lgbtq+ and said he been in a same sex relationship for 8 years and is fighting laws in his home state of Tennessee for the right for people to have gender reassignment surgery and for drag queens to perform for kids what a shame I really loved there early music but I won’t be listening to them anymore and it’s really disturbing that a pastor supports this garbage and that they have such a big influence on our youth but I guess that’s the godless society we live in today
You could have saved a lot of time and wasted guesswork as to what this song is all about by going to the primary source: the singer/songwriter themselves. Christians see only what they want to see and I’m amazed at how blind they can be. Reminds me of all the Christian critiques of all the rock bands of the 60’s 70’s and 80’s and how “ungodly and wicked they all were”
I like this band, and this song. But, all of the comments about comparisons to Led Zeppelin are not totally accurate in my opinion. The music, yes, but the lead singers voice reminds me of the '80's band "Triumph " yeah, I'm old! Lol. I can't think of the song that Triumph had out back then , or the lead singers name. The video was popular on MTV, circa I believe, 1982. The similarities in both singer's voice is amazing! Robert Plant, not so much.
Nowadays there is a movement in the Rock genre leading the pack is a few young lady bands , the Warning, Plush and bands from Japan The Rock genre is bigger in Europe and Japan than it is here in the State s
The biggest compliment to the phenomenal music of GVF is us ‘older’ folks who are into them because we grew up with AMAZING music years ago, so if they can move us…… you know they’re great!
Also do you know pastor, that 3 of them are brothers? Lead singer and guitar player are twins. And….there is only 1 guitar player most of the time. The youngest member, 3rd brother, is usually on piano or keyboard, sometimes he will play bass. So this guitar player..is..in my opinion, spectacular. Hes still very young. All in early 20s?? Also youngest made a comment in a video where he said..oh Jesus..instead of oh geez…and he immediately added to that…Mary and Joseph. Some christians or others will say that as to not use the word Jesus as a slang word. I wondered if they were christians, perhaps not typical christians. Also..dont think any of them have tattoos. Very rare nowadays. Im 60 this year, and blown away by these young men
My daughter's favorite band and now mine , she is 35 I'm 72 !
Tgis is the least pastor related reaction I can’t tell at all
Is Emily's tatoo a Pentax K 1000?
I absolutely adore that you keep an open mind towards this and allow we worshipers the latitude to enjoy the music for the sake of it's appeal. God bless.

that was the first time i saw that video but i think with great bands there is an artform within the artform to keep us guessing…
The irony of a Christian church watching Greta Van Fleet is not lost on me.
I always wondered why this isn’t hiphop…

They put their own ideas in their videos good band
They’re a great band, and this is one of the best rock songs released in years, IMO.
and now Josh the lead singer came out gay and now pastor what do you think. i love him as Jesus would.
Lead guitarist studied Jimmy Page for over a year to get that sound amd technique ! Was the horse lookin for its master ?

Great reaction!
Love the fact that they play with guitars plugged in
I totally get RUSH vibes from this song but I’m curious as to the “Master” that he is referring to because I am pretty sure I know and it’s not JC.
The biggest compliment to the phenomenal music of GVF is us ‘older’ folks who are into them because we grew up with AMAZING music years ago, so if they can move us…… you know they’re great!
Greta Van Fleet is awesome and if you listen… it's biblical
They wrote the songs before a making a video
They are not led Zeppelin they are greta Van Fleet…done
Paator needs to go back to the 70's
It is a worship song

So many sell there soul in music. So when he says master satan
I wonder what the Pastor thinks about the singer being gay?
Josh just came out gay 😂 thats sucks or he sucks now
This song actually made me cry. I felt Josh was praising the Lord. 🙏🏻
