  13. Highly highly under-appreciated that the main menu theme for andaron saga is in 5/8 time, such a great beat that throws you off, right from the title screen, and it carries over for the entire rest of the game.

  18. 1:19:15 Big disagreement on supports being the ONLY way to flesh out non-main characters. Supports have alot of downsides, like being only 1 on 1 conversations and having to be mostly independent from what's going on in the story, because they can happen any time. That's why you get so many tea/fishing supports even when there is much more interesting story stuff going on the characters could be talking about.
    There's really no reason why there couldn't just be optional chapter/event conversations with more than 2 characters to have them bounce off of each toher more, like let's say skits in the Tales series are, that simply won't play if not all characters are alive but don't have any other requirement. Or having them talk to each other or comment no the mission cutscenes like they did in 3 houses. I think the voice actor & writer budget would be better spent if they reduced supports in favor of more of these kinds of conversations.

    You yourself even said multiple times that supports alone aren't good for developing characters because the characters need to be interesting already to get people to want to watch supports to learn more. The other ways I listed would all work well for that in addition to having the potential for more interesting conversations.

  19. 1:20:10 Break mechanic itself I think was good. Anything that strengthens the weapon triangle is good in my book. The problem imo was that they removed the traditional triangle in favor of it, which overall gave you less of a weapon triangle system. If it was on top of regular triangle I think it would be a good addition.
    1:33:35 Lindon is actually one of the best characters in the engage, imo. He's got some of the more amusing supports and some degree of backstory. Best unit for crit builds too and good line delivery by the english VA both in combat and supports. Unfortunately most people just don't use him because he comes late and he's just an old man rather than a waifu, so nobody cares to find out about him.
    Him and Zelkov are probably the 2 most underappreciated characters. Both deserved to be in a better story than Engage.

    3:09:15 Well deserved meme. Unmentioned secrets objectives that all need to be completed is already pretty dumb compared to just mentioning them as optional objectives or hints at the start. Only crazy people are going to actually try out every chapter over and over again until they've figured out every one of them instead of just looking it up, at which point it's not secret anyway. But at least with the secret objective failed/succeeded messages and guessing it can be figured out. Adding an extra, chapter-variable, secret counter on top of it is extra dumb. At the minimum it should be mentioned at the end as part of the "secret objective failed" message or, better at the start of the mission.

  22. Now, not trying to be mean, just constructive, but IMO, if you do a sequel, I'd like there to be more room to break the game for fun. I know PH hates that, but I personally think it's fun to find these little exploits.
