Paris May Day protest turns ugly as police clash with protesters

At least 108 police officers have been injured in clashes across France with protesters angry at pension reforms, the interior minister has said.

Gérald Darmanin said such a large number of police wounded was extremely rare, adding that 291 people had been arrested during the unrest.

Hundreds of thousands have been taking part in May Day demonstrations against President Emmanuel Macron’s reforms.

Most were peaceful but radical groups threw petrol bombs and fireworks.

Police responded with tear gas and water cannon.

  1. A tout les pseudos militants, n'oubliez jamais que vous êtes tous des immenses baltringues, et que la France vous pisse dessus, ainsi que sur vos enfants, marginaux de merde.

  3. Riots are just excuses for the public to steal, vandalize, hit, punch and kick people, and throw fireworks at police who really don't want to be there. It's unfair, and rioters are absolute morons who deserve to serve prison time or heavy fines. It isn't only unfair for the police (who get injured because people don't like what somebody ELSE has done), but also all the innocent people that get either caught in the crossfire, i.e., getting sprayed with powerful jets of water or getting fireworks thrown near/at you, and also all the store/homes right outside of all the action. Riots are just to do enough damage and threaten more damage to try force somebody to do change something. Whether this be property, or humans, but generally both. *Peaceful protests are obviously exempt from all this.
