These characters are adorable.
The first time the Elder suddenly grew huge was legitimately more effective on me than most jump scares in horror games or movies.
"Goombella you have zero legs to stand on"
me: carefully thinking about Goombella's anatomy to determine if she does have legs
Arin Hanson's Flurrie will always be remembered.
Even when I played this the first time, I still didn't understand why the Punies didn't just… walk out of the cells.
Dan's voice for Punio is giving me flashbacks to podium Dan lol
39:15 Considering she's a Goomba, she literally doesn't haven't any legs to stand on. /badum-tish!
"Splatoon Fidget Spinner" 🤣
was gonna talk about trans vivian but someone else beat me to it! the original context is maybe not handled super well, but vivian will always be trans in my heart.
Algorithm Comment! This game is so full of personality!
You actually DO get star points for defeating enemies with gale force. Its weakness is its cost and unreliability, since its effectiveness is random. Every enemy has a certain chance to be affected; stronger enemies tend to be resistant, while flying enemies tend to be vulnerable. It's not bad if you know when to use it
Oh…..Flurrie is a cloud person. I was thinking she was a ghost.
Ponder the Orb!
Is it wrong that I'm watching this and thinking of what Dan Jones would sound like playing Flurrie and Carrie as Koops or the Mouse thief? I'd love to see a group play of this where the voices are spread around, even bring in Will to be the captain Bomb-omb XD!
The "cooking for dummies" section gives you in-game recipes you can use later – so the one in the premiere issue boils down to (ha ha) "cook 1 mushroom on its own". Reduces the amount of trial and error needed to figure them all out.
(They get more complicated later)
"Those who seek names are often disappointed" Damn that is a good line.
15:20 Now that you told us how saving during a recording might be risky, I get anxiety FROM saving. That's a new one xD
This game really gives Dan a proper exercise in creating "old person" voices hahahaha
You really want quake hammer for this chapter trust me. It's really useful for the enemies that will come up ahead
I'm here for Goombella's sapphic awakening
Yes, charge stacks and stacks hard. Plus every female party member in the 1000-year door gives him a kiss at some point before joining the party.
ORB!
I started the next episode and was totally lost thinking I had missed an episode. Turns out I just fell asleep while the elder was talking ^.^' Maybe it's not such a great idea to watch these when I'm really sleepy.
lol the whole "now listen, listen up, hmm what was I oh yes now listen" omg that is my life. (like, literally that happens to me 30 times a day at work.)
Feel free to keep calling RDM "Red Mage", but if Durmin eventually becomes a Red Mage for a future expansion, you're going to have to dress him up like a newspaper delivery boy. The reference must go both ways.
