What’s ironic about it is that he did want Anakin too reach his full potential but after his lost on mustafar he deemed him a failure and thereafter deemed himself the rightful heir too the sith and the ultimate culmination of Banes rule of two.

I love these videos, but it always bothers me that VII-VIII-IX rear their collectively ugly and unwanted heads as though they somehow deserve to be considered as canon.
"Peace is a lie" may be the most misunderstood line in all of Star Wars. People all-too-often believe that the absince of peace means war and chaos, but that is the absince of calm, not peace. Even in a calm, quiet and reserved library or a well structured and governed senate where everyone follows the established order there is no peace. Therw are conflicting ideas, warring perspectives, contradictory ideologies all vying for acceptance and dominance.
Ironically, "peace is a lie" should really make the Sith democratic as a true democracy is an arena that gives all ideas a chance with the strongest rising to the top and winning over the majority.

My view is that Sidious, at least in the movies, didn't really understand sith philosophy much at all. If you read the code, the goal is breaking binding chains and freedom. Seemed Emperor got caught up too much in the power and victory and missed the idea. Skulking around in the dark, little to no communication with outside, seemingly drab life. Appeared more bound and enslaved by his ambition than achieving what sith philosophy really wants. But it's understandable that, for entertainment purposes, you don't want a deep thinking, searching for freedom bad guy.
Like the part about meditating on one's anger to focus it to make the power gained from it more dense and consistent in output instead of waves of power like other Sith.
I thought everyone knew when the sith said about peace being and calm not being real was they always had that rage even if they were calm
