Putting out good vibes for season 6!
Honestly i already lost hope in this game it's going to die already uninstalled it a few months ago it should feels underwhelming.
Yellow, we’re not joking about shadow veil being put in Seris’ base kit. Human Grover is a meme, we actually want shadow veil. Also the stun is base kit was silly.
I thought you were at 11.7! Don't worry about the ship jumpers! They weren't loyal anyway, obviously!
Correction:Furia got a skin during RWBY not Skye.Other than that the video was mostly fine, agreed with most points (or the substance of it). Also my personal thoughts on the cauterize,I think it was a great change because of how necessary it was as an item (plus 90% was good because 75% was too low)…..but I feel like now the haven and blast merger is unjustfied.Because when cautrize was an item you had to buy it as the an on point tank (sense you as the point tank were the best applier of caut againist the enemy point tank),also you had to buy haven and blast (if blasters where on the enemy team). So you only had one free item (sometimes) as a point tank.So the blast/haven merger allowed for some freedom in items. But now with cautrize as a passive, you no longer are forced to buy any item as a point tank (too much freedom).Sorry for the cautrize haven ramble.
So Bugs and bad balance is killing the game?¿
What is new?¿
No joke I met a guy that left paladins in OB64 because of the bad balancing and never came back nor bothored to look if it got better.
They don’t know how to balance the game(aka don’t take critics pts) and the game is suffering for it.
I wish, oh I wish that things gets better from here.
Look honestly, they need a change of direction. My suggestion i always push for is just focus on maps for the next couple of years to fill up the all the ques just to make them fresh. Ya push for more unique games modes and content but maps could at least be a bit of a band aid fix to hold people over.
I got tired of the item store. Haven veteran not being removed after the first month is insane to me. Can't take it anymore. I'll play again when there's variety. Ironic that they removed the mandatory caut buy only to introduce those 2.
Hello. A Paladins lore maniac here. Kasumi was definitely NOT betrayed by house Aico, let me explain why.
In Kasumi's cards, we can see that in the backgrounds, the moon isn't shattered yet. Furthermore, Kasumi is said to be VERY old. Which checks out, as the moon was shattered over thousands of years ago from the current events of Paladins.
Meanwhile, house Aico came to be after the events of goblin Scourges, which took place only a few centuries from current events.
Which means it'd be impossible for house Aico to betray Kasumi, as house Aico didn't exist back when Kasumi was a mortal. Just wanted to clear that up.
Kasumi primary weapon needs a complete mechanical rework
Another big problem that has occurred do to the less amount of players is matchmaking
Weather your in rank or not matchmaking these days is either putting you against people who are way above or below your skill level
Rank has this issue the worst being gold and under and you could possibly Q with a potential diamond player
The saddest part is that Paladins can have good skill lvl matchmaking but it would come at a hefty cost of a 5min plus Q time
Again bc of the dying player base
Sad how were getting new problems because of recent problems
every time i hear about Paladins lore i cringe, i want to enjoy it, but i can't
As a new player I find this game a lot of fun, I came from overwatch but I’m slowly enjoying paladins a lot more I only wish the game was more polished, less buggy and had better balance.
I love the cards system and the talents, it feels like you have so many ways to play your champion.
What I don’t like about this game is how clunky it feels at times especially when I’m playing Corvus and use his teleport ability, sometimes it doesn’t even teleport me and just bugs out and the cast time is kinda slow which I don’t like, the same with caspians deadly momentum, both their movements abilities are way to slow imo.
Kasumi also makes me wanna slit my wrists I don’t think I have ever hated a character from a game the way I hate her. In overwatch I hated doomfist but kasumi is even worse, kasumi ruins a lot of games for me I’m trying to learn all the champions and level them up but whenever I see her on the enemy team I just know the game isn’t going to be fun.
Overall I love paladins and wish I started playing sooner.
For me, the game doesn't feel as good as it used to, but can't put my finger on why that is, matches just feeI worse. Some problems i can name are: the dumbing down of champions (like Torvald or Skye), or the caut changes.
The dumbing down ist a full problem as a lot of champions got better – the upgraded Raum talent.
Oh and just as I'm writing this I remembered what the main reason was I quit… the DCs… literally 70% of my matches had a DC.
Hot take: When flanks are meta, game feels like one player dominates. When supports are meta, the game feels polarizing. When tanks are meta, the game feels more co-operative focused. Tanks are a lot less obvious in how they carry. Tanks should be meta. Thank you for reading my shitty opinion.
I disagree with you. Theres lots of people who hate and rly dont like the new map, both in terms of positions and asthetics. This includes myself
2022 is definitely the most controversial year for paladins. Many good and bad changes
Item change
Cauterize as passive. Cauterize is too mandatory that not buying is consider throwing
Every kill reset card now procs on elimination, reducing the frustration of getting kill steal
Kill2Heal ignores cauterize which I still don't know how to feel about it
Provision, does anybody remember this? Lethality is feels too niche
Champion
Vii hooks was too bloated and overpowered on release. Now, he just zooms around the map since he has the best mobility
Betty may have unoriginal kit, but she is so fun to play, spamming the point. She was underpowered on release
Lillith blood health is interesting but her swarm feels too spammy which got adjusted and feels good to play now. I hate how all her 3 talents and most of her card have drawbacks
Caspian kit is overbloated and he has one playstyle with measure cadence. On release, he is too clunky and movement skill sucks. Now, he feels too strong.
Kasumi biggest problem is not autoaim but her savage tear. Getting unavoidable instant 1000 damage and has cards that increase damage of savage tear is too unhealthy
Talent
Raum has the best talent rework yet other champion talent rework is controversial or bad. Skye preparation, VII overcharged, grover deep roots, seris agony, andro cursed revolver, kinessa oppression
Skins
Some of the best skins. Cuddly yagorath, lovestruck kasumi, corrupted IO, pandemonium VII, bones moji etc.
They butchered RWBY skins, at least the VFX is pretty
I played this game for the first time last night after not playing it for something like 4 years. I enjoy Overwatch but I'm not the biggest fan of FPS games. Paladins feels more like a hero-based brawler with FPS controls more so than a shooter with character abilities like Overwatch does.
I had a blast trying out all the new characters I haven't seen, and it reminded me of why I used to love this game. Sad to hear of all the issues it's had while I was away, but I'm hoping more people flock to this game as they get tired of Overwatch having issues too.
A big plus for this game though is that it can be played on Mac. I unfortunately had to switch to Mac from PC at my office. I used to play games during my breaks. I'm glad Paladins is there to scratch that itch.
