Painting Tractors & Smoking Brisket

I’m preparing the Farmall 856 for paint. In this video, I show the types of paint I’ve used on past tractor projects, the pros and cons of each type, and how I prep the tractor for painting. As a bonus, I am smoking beef brisket on the Weber grill today!

  1. A tweener cousin of mine caught all heck from his father at a holiday dinner long ago, commandeering the turkey platter in the place before him at the table and loudly announcing What are the rest of you going to eat? Most of us enjoyed the humor!

  2. As regards your hobby of refurbing old tractors, on a much smaller (tiny!) scale I did the same when I opted to buy a used riding mower about 5 years ago. I had to money to buy a new riding mower and was almost ready to get one then decided to buy something used but not badly abused and have it as my "winter project" with something being done each winter. A month ago, I finally did a valve & re-ring job so now it runs better than ever! Keep up your great videos!

  3. sorry about the pig breeding, i understand our local breeder gave up after the covid shut down really hurt all of us by doubling the cost of many things. i will miss seeing the newborn piglet's run-e-run-run, however the transformation of the breeding area will be better for your chicken`s. i`m really enjoying your play lists ,the information you give as you restore your tractors is great. now i hope more play lists come out on your animals it would be nice to see them from new to old. THANK YOU! BLESS YOU! Charles Hinderliter

  4. Pet im 62 and I am a small engine mechanic. I enjoy watching your videos. I've always wanted to restore a small tractor but now I'm really interested in doing so thanks to your videos you have done all the research for me. But I know if I screw up that's on me, I found your video to be very educational. Keep up the good work…

  5. After watching the channels that I watch, even though I've never personally met any of them; you begin to feel like you're friends. People with similar lifestyles or interests and people doing things I do or want to do. Also having channels run by people with similar views on life is rather refreshing. It's nice to have your channel to watch Pete. You're not always in a rush or talking a million miles an hour. It doesn't matter if most of a video doesn't particularly pique my interest. I'll watch them anyway just because you throw life into them. You never know what little tidbit you might have to say. Keep up the videos just the way you have been doing them

  6. Totally agree about keeping it all on one channel. It's the natural flow of the farm to switch to different topics based on the time of the year and I've quite enjoyed all of it. Thank you for your time Pete.
