P42 & Dash-8 to the rescue! Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Trains 9.7.2024

As the summer comes to an end, so does Amtraks extended weekend Pacific Surfliner Service. However, the final weekend of these extra trains did not come without some surprises.

On Saturday September 7th, 2024, Amtrak used a Dash-8, P42, & NPCU to assist on Surfliner services.

Oddly enough, there was also a reversed set running. In this video I captured all of the unique trains of the day in the San Diego area.

Enjoy!
